“This is a must go place for my family. We always get a Booty Freeze and the combinations are almost endless. I can't remember if I have ever gotten the same combo twice. DEFINITELY A RECOMMENDATION!!! If you don't go, you are missing out on an EXCELLENT TREAT!“
“This place is not on the main strip, but on a side strip. They have a gift shop section with some funny merch. It’s clean, the staff are friendly and my absolute favorite thing is the ice cream. The flavors are inventive and indulgent. I’d list some, but I’m sure they change up. It’s on par with a Ben and Jerry’s for flavor options. A single scoop is $4/5 which seems pricey, but they gave a healthy scoop. I chose oatmeal chocolate chip. It was freaking awesome. I highly recommend it.“
“We were in the area and decided on some ice cream and stopped in. There are a lot of choices on the menu from cups, cones, sundies, smoothies, and acai bowls. So it was a little overwhelming at first without a games play. We settled on ice cream and a banana split. Not only was it good but the service was excellent. There was only a single server there, but she was nice and helpful for someone that was clueless about what they wanted.“
“This place is a very interesting place, ice cream and shaved ice. But their signature style was a Snowball, shaved ice with a scoop of ice cream at the bottom. Delicious! Over 60 different mix and match variations for the shaved ice. Give this place a go on your next vacation or craving for some shaved ice!“
“Amazing ice cream & candy, every kind of homemade chocolate-covered whatever & fudge you can imagine, a completely empty shop at 8pm, and great customer service and recommendations. Came for the coconut caramel chocolate s'mores, stayed for the ice cream; came back for the homemade peanut butter cups.“
“Our family discovered Coastal Creamery this vacation and will now be a regular stop every vacation in OBX. We went to Costal Creamery more than we went anywhere else. We tried to go to our normal ice-cream shop just once. The kids were not having it. So we left and went to Costal Creamery. Their ice-cream is the best! Plus the service was excellent.“
“Snow Bird Burgers & Cones is the best place to eat at the OBX!! Awesome food and delicious ice cream!! Staff is friendly and eager to please!! The owner is on site and a wonderful addition to the overall cozy and comfortable feeling you get when you go there!! Absolutely the best fried chicken sandwich anywhere!! We visit this place a few times when we visit the OBX!! Best place ever!!“
“If I could rate zero I would. Bought a shirt washed it color already washing out. Cheap clothes. Not good quality. I'd return the shirt if i could.Edit: the owner/manager reached out and sent me not one but two shirts in the mail. Definitely made it right and rectified the situation. Thank you.“
“I’ve been coming to the Outer Banks for 30 years. I remember getting the best burger on the OBX at this restaurant. Apparently they have stopped serving food. That is not the issue. I called up to ask if they no longer serve burgers, and was told “this isn’t McDonald’s”. I don’t appreciate being spoken to that way from a worker of a restaurant I want to spend my money at. If they can’t train their staff to have better customer service, I cannot imagine how poorly they treat customers at the restaurant. Very disappointed.“
“If you are visiting OBX - swing by Surfin' Spoon. Staff are friendly and the decor is modern chic (Cali vibe). I love the money you see all around the establishment...place a quarter or dollar and it will be donated to Surfin' for Autism :) They have seating indoor, outdoor and a few parking spaces. They have their homemade sammie's (ice scream sandwiches/vegan and non vegan). Their self serve yogurt/custard are delicious and they have a good selections of toppings. They are really organized with line management (so it won't get too crazy) but you will be waiting - well worth it.“
