“We finally tried this place tonight and we will be back! The mango sorbet was very delicious and fruit toppings were very fresh. Hubby happily had three different kinds of chocolate with hot fudge on top. Some creative toppings here too -- loved the crushed waffle cones!“

“Honestly one of the most underrated places to eat in OBX. My wife and I most always make it a point to eat at Fatty’s. The food is fantastic and the staff have always been alert and friendly. Truthfully a great place to eat!“

“The young girl working here yesterday (Saturday Sept 19) was all alone, and the people coming in and out was a steady stream.
She was working her butt off, and smiling and kind the entire time. The ice cream machine ran out and she grabbed those heavy bags and took care of it and made sure to tell anyone new coming in that she would be right with them...all while smiling.
When she went back to the few waiting customers she took their orders and smiled and laughed and thanked them for waiting. She was a complete delight. Every customer was also kind and patient.
The whole experience was such a refreshing display of kind society. Who knew this little micro experience was waiting for us in Dairy Queen?
The shop was exceptionally clean on top of excellent service. And Dairy Queen tasted like Dairy Queen. You can't go wrong with ice cream. :)“

“We've been coming to this coffee shop every time we are on vacation for the last four years. If you want a place to get coffee that has a chill atmosphere, great service, and coffee, go visit The Uglie Mugg. You will not be disappointed. The ice coffee, cinnamon buns, and double chocolate muffins are very good!!!!“

“The only way you can go wrong here is by not stopping by and buying one of the best treats on the island. We love this place. It is a must for us when we are on vacation in Hatteras. The owner is the sweetest and its a bonus to spend sometime with her.“
