“I love this place. Food is excellent serve is good. atmosphere is good .It is clean . The ladies restroom is clean but one of the toilets has p*** on the side and its been that way for at least 3 weeks.“

“We went to Dan Sushi & Hibachi for lunch and it was really good. The lunch special was a great deal and the service was super friendly and quick. We got the avocado eel, Boston, and shrimp tempura rolls and they were all excellent -- fresh and well made. We ended up ordering two more rolls because we liked everything so much. Will definitely be back.“

“This has been my go-to hibachi place for years!! The chicken hibachi with rice is really good and I like that they offer a spicy version as well. The girl at the front, Gabi, is really welcoming and always makes sure we have everything we need.“

“The food was very good! We've been to a number of hibachi and sushi places in the area and this one was my favorite for takeout. The sushi alongside the hibachi was also very delicious and flavorful. Service was possibly understaffed so things took a bit longer than estimated but I did not mind because everything else was perfect and the staff was kind.“

“I come by for lunch probably 3/4 times a month. It is our go-to spot in the area. As hibachi goes it is fantastic, I have never had a bad batch. 12$ for a plate of rice, chicken and veggies is such a steal. If you’re looking for a quick and easy lunch in the area can’t recommend it enough.“

“This is one of my all time favorite lunch spots in Raleigh, they have a great hibachi lunch special which is under $10, it is very fresh and filling rotating between Chicken, Steak, and Shrimp depending on the day! Everytime I’m in Raleigh I stop in for lunch! Can’t wait to go back!“

“I had not been in years. I went in August 2026 on a Sunday. I was initially reluctant given the variety of reviews and the amount of reviews.
On the one hand the reviews are accurate. However the bad reviews were more harsh than they needed to be.
Have i had worse sushi...yes for sure. Have I had better sushi absolutely.
Given the whole experience I would give it 4 stars of 5. Atmosphere is casual but nice. Service is above average. Food is 4/5. It was a bit bland but I got the 3 roll lunch special. The rice was not flavored very well and the tightness of the rolls was average. However if the rice has had more flavor it would have been better. But in fairness I got shrimp avocado, amd salmon avocado. Which are more bland to begin with.
I also got the vegetable tempura. The sauce was a spicy mayo instead of sweet broth. It was not traditional tempura, more deep fried vegetables....but not horrible.
The price was SUPER affordable.
The service was attentive.
So.....in the end....set expectations.
There are better sushi places However for the price and location, it was above average.“
