“We’ve been a few times en route to OBX. It never fails that the food is excellent and the hostess is rude like you’re bothering her, no matter how polite and accommodating we are. “We visit OBX every year and started coming to this bar about 4 years ago. It’s a fun location under a gorgeous tree with a great beer selection. Even have some options our (weird) non beer drinker friends enjoyed. Always some form of band / singer when we are there that is usually pretty good too. Definitely recommend.“

“We have been getting Duck donuts here at the original store since 2011. Yesterday I went in to get our first order of the vacation week. We always vacation last week of August and it usually includes my son’s bday. He’ll be 17 on Saturday and heads off to college in a year. We told him we will pause OBX next summer since we don’t know exactly where he’ll go to college. I literally cried ordering my donuts yesterday to the owner and how much Duck OBX has met to our family memories for 13 years! Duck is all about traditions to us. Sunrise, sunsets, crabbing, and of course Duck Donuts! We have loved watching this business turn in to a national franchise. What a beautiful success story. 🍩 🍩🍩🍩“

“We ate outside in the afternoon when their appetizer menu was available. Good food, nice atmosphere and service. Crab cakes, crab dip, and Mexican poutine were excellent. Sweet pot bisque was good...2 of our party thought it was too sweet but still good. Sweet Potato Burrata salad was excellent as well.“

“Off the Wall was our first stop when we arrived in town and we made it our last stop on our way out! I wish I would’ve gotten the name of the guy who works in the front because he was great. He was so nice and helpful that I thought he was the owner. All of the food we tried was really good, I highly recommend the burger and fries. Also, being able to try any of the beers was a lot of fun. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!!“

“Good coffee and a menu with some unique flavor options. The shop is small with a very limited selection of pastries, but they did have a gluten-free coffee cake, which was just okay. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We’d visit again for the coffee.“

“Christine was AMAZING. She walked is through each and every beer we tasted, we got different flights and were walked is through them all. She kept us in the building and was great in conversation! Absolutely recommend going to Growlers to go and seeing CHRISTINE for all of your beer needs!“

“We picked the spot for our big "family dinner" during our OBX vacation. We arrived right at the start of dinner with a party of nine. They seated us quickly and each option was better than the last. My son-in-law proclaimed the hush puppies the best he'd ever had, but the Mahi Bites and Duck Wontons were fabulous as well and the Pineapple Chutney on the Coconut Shrimp was fantastic. That was just the appetizers! Every entree was great; the Crab Cakes came highly recommended and did not disappoint. They were paired with the Filet Mignon for a great Surf and Turf. Others had the NC Shrimp & Grits and Crab Alfredo. No one was disappointed! Just a heads up that there are no reservations. We were fortunate to be seated in arriving at the start of the 5:00 p.m. Dinner Menu. The line formed soon thereafter.“

“We ate here on Friday Oct. 20. Bartender was super friendly. Highly recommend the clam chowder, best we've ever had. I had the Grouper special and it great. My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.“

“I have eaten quite a fair amount of BBQ in my life. Not only do we smoke our own at home, I make it a habit to eat BBQ in every state I travel to (Texas, GA, etc). This BBQ is by far some of the best I've ever had. The portions are just right where you leave feeling full. The brisket is tender, the breading on the chicken was delicious, and the chicken was juicy and tender. And we paid less than we usually do. My only complaint is that we don't have any more days on our vacation to come back again! Don't let the negative reviews deter you. Come eat some delicious BBQ.“
