“I will say the service was great and the lady was nice and helpful. It's a small little diner with a great feel. The pulled pork was definitely great, moist and flavored well. We liked the sweet sauce they had, but they also offered the vinegar based sauce as well. The pimento cheese burger was awesome, loved it. The fried stuff had a different kind of film or something to it though, I don't know if it was the type of oil they used or what, but it was still good don't get me wrong, just kind of grainy. But all in all not bad at all :)“
“8/19/2023 Great restaurant stop in Granite Falls on our way to Jefferson, NC. Pulled pork sandwich with slaw and or pickles on it with yummy sauce at table and generous helping of sweet potato casserole and drink for 9.90. Quiet atmosphere, clean restaurant and restroom., service quick. Order at front and they bring it to your table. Should visit!“
“My wife and I ate here for our day trip to the mountains. I had gotten the platter with pulled pork, quarter chicken, and ribs. It was all amazing, and the dessert was peach cobbler with ice cream on top. I ate everything and I had to be rolled out. This is a must stop for anyone. My only complaint is that the pulled pork was a little lacking in flavor. It was still great but missed on the flavor“
“To start off this review, upon walking up to the establishment, all you could smell was a smoke pit which gave me huge confidence that these people know what they are doing. You order the food at the register, pay for it, and then they seat you which is cool, I prefer to pay pre meal so I dont need to wait around for a check. Not that it would have been an issue because our waitress was on top of our drinks like a hawk. We ordered the ribs and brisket. The ribs were fall off the bone and full of smoke which was amazing. The brisket was slightly moist which is very impressive for most briskets. I find usually, most bbq place's brisket is very dry, texas was the only place that I ever found a melt in your mouth soaked with fat brisket. This place definetely doesn't beat texas bbq, but, its some of the best I have had other than texas. So all in all this place gets a 5 star from me, would definetely return.“
“My husband and I just tried this place for the first time. We both got ribeyes, which they usually only serve on Fridays, but they had some available so they let us have them on a Wednesday. Food was good and served was great. It’s very well decorated with a nice environment. We’ll be back to try their brisket next time.“
“This place is the best I've ever been food is amazing the prices match what you get!! The people are so nice and have this beautiful compassion for what they do. This is the best food I've ever eaten, you can feel the honesty in the room the moment you open the door that your about to be appreciated and fed well hats off to the server and the chef you are fantastic ?“
“Love this Longhorn. They are very accurate in their wait times. The food always comes out hot and delicious. The service is amazing as most of the servers have worked there for a long time. Everyone is very kind and professional. The manager Katie goes above and beyond to making my child feel special. We go here at least two weekends out of the month and prefer this restaurant over any other steak house near by.“
“This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Hickory. Not only is the food delicious, but the owner has gone out of her way to offer an entire menu to people like myself who cannot have gluten. Going to a restaurant nowadays and looking to see if anything is gluten free is always a toss up. Charlie Granger's is the only place where I can come and feel like I can order as a normal person. Getting a burger and fries may not seem like a big deal, but for someone like me who usually can't do it, eating at Charlie Grangers's is a dream come true. All the food is delicious regardless if it's gluten free or not. My wife loves the shrimp burger, and my in laws love the hot dogs. So give this place a try. It's an absolute 10/10Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“Best Hickory NC BBQ I've found. This place is small but great! They have the smoker out front so you see and smell it, it's awesome! The BBQ and Chicken are both delicious. The things that bumped it to a 4 for me is the service and hush puppies. The service is not BAD, but it's not GREAT... it's a happy medium. Granite they are always busy, but whether you are at a table or at the bar, it's about the same. They can be slow when it comes to service, but in no means is it bad. The hush puppies aren't my favorite side, but I enjoy some good hush puppies. They are a 6/10 here, again not terrible but not the best I've had. Overall this place is amazing! I am a frequent and will continue to be.“
“Hey! For the price, this place rocks! Especially if you’re a poor college student desperate for a cheap bite! The hotdog combo comes with chips and a drink at no additional charge. I ordered off of door dash for delivery, and was shocked at how cheap it still was! Usually the toppings are what makes a hotdog good, but these hotdogs themselves bring enough flavor to the party and would be quite enjoyable even if you ate them plain! Also the sweet tea is perfect! Highly recommend!“
“We have stopping here for years. Best bbq hands down wish there was a more broad menu burgers, chicken etc... Still better than any other place I have been and I have not traveled alot but I have been to the surrounding states and they blow everybody out of the water.“
“Delicious bbq. Easily some of the best Piedmont style sauce I've had. The bbq is sold by the pound, and while it looks unappetizing at first all packed in the tray, it's delicious. You kinda get the feeling you're not supposed to go inside, but don't worry, you are!“
“Great little hole in the wall diner. Great food and really friendly employees. I usually go for breakfast and get the biscuit and gravy platter with a side of bacon. I highly recommend this place if you're hungry and near Longview. It sits on hwy 64-70. The parking lot is on the smaller side so parking can be an issue depending on what time of day you come here to eat. A must try if you're in the area. 9/10.“
“Just a quick update on my previous review. Still best BBQ in town and I have been back to Peddilin Pig a couple times when Willie Brooks runs out early in the evening which appears to happen a lot. So here’s some advise if you plan on going. They discontinued sausage which is a shame because it was fabulous. Call ahead if after 6:30pm to see if running low on food. Don’t order Ribs before afternoon. If you order ribs at lunch time they are good, but not really great. They have not been coking long enough and are not fall off the bone. In fact that are a little tough. Still a must visit location.“
“Wow! This is a gem in Hickory. I come to town often for work and stumbled across this through the app. First impressions are HUGE, this is a big open restaurant with a nice bar in the front and open kitchen. But the smell of smoke meat hits you as soon as you walk in and it is great ! My server was Sierra and I must say I got the best service I have had in years! They explained the menu, everything is made from scratch and locally sourced! I ordered the pulled pork and the turkey breast with cheesy apples and red slaw. They also have great pickled veggies on the side. Wasn't crazy about the slow and Sierra offered a different side so I tried the greens which were spot on! It was just the right amount of attention and care. Can we just talk about the apples! Hands down one of the best comfort foods I have ever tried. Sweet and savory all at once. The pulled pork was great as was the turkey and I love a good selection of sauces and they were all excellent as well. I will be back and am even considering grabbing take out for my drive home tomorrow!“
“This is exactly what a BBQ stand should be! The food was amazing and the service was outstanding! Our 2yo daughter dropped a toy under the booth and the waitress brought out a broom to help dig it out and was laughing with us over it. Down home at it's finest.Kid-friendliness: no play areas but fun wait staff that genuinely likes kids“
“I've always eaten at Hannah's on Rt. 127 with my parents whenever I was in town. I took my husband there yesterday for his first time. We both got the chopped barbeque sandwich with cole slaw and absolutely loved it! We're going to go back and grab a few pounds to take back to NJ with us! The fries were also amazing!Vegetarian options: I ordered a vegetable plate to take to my 95 year old father and he loved it! He ate every bite over two meals!“
“Stumbled upon this place while driving to Asheville for July 4th. Not the nicest looking place but def delicious! Totally forgot to take pictures because we were so hungry (sorry) but i promise we cleaned all our plates! My sister and i shared the large chopped bbq plate with a side of hushpuppies, corn nuggets, and potato salad. Everything was amazing! The portions were alright. Thought the large plate was going to be bigger but for their prices, the portions were a steal still. The corn nuggets were to DIE FOR!! 100% recommend getting them. The pulled bbq was perfectly seasoned and so flavorful. It was juicy and had some vinegar mixed in. The service was slow but it seems family owned and only had 2 waitresses. They were doing the best they can. They had a ton of phone orders as the place is really small with only 4 tables. It also looks like they are renovating. Hope to be back when we travel to western NC again!“
“Everything was OK. Can't really say it was the best bbq sandwich I've ever had, but not everything was bad. I would definitely like to give it another try before firmly deciding if it's worth it or not. Staff were semi-friendly. Our waitress was good. Served us well. Could've been worse. Overall, I didn't hate it.“
“Great friendly staff. Jacob was exceptionally nice and courteous. They actually sang for my bday. It was sweet to be shown love and celebrated while there with a free piece of cheesecake. Nice time hanging out with my daughter while dining there.“
“Went as a company dinner. Food was a little lacking on taste and flavor but the staff and atmosphere were excellent, if you like this sort of venue. My 4 year old had a great time and absolutely loved the music and dancing.Parking: Plenty of parking space available.Kid-friendliness: Very kid and family friendly.“
