Ran into the owner as she was closing today, she gave my friend and I a chocolate chip cookie. I don't even like chocolate, but the butter and deliciousness called to me. It was heavenly, somehow the perfect ratio of crispy and chewy, thin while being full flavor and plenty of cookie. AND THEN I got the perfect bite with a salt flake that brightened the cookie even further. So unbelievably happy and utterly disappointed I have to wait until Thursday until they open again. Black Magnolia is my go to when a friend comes to town or I want to grab a sweet treat to bring along to meet a community partner. It’s always delicious and so well thought out. The owner and family are so wonderful. This is a Greensboro staple!
Black Magnolia Southern Patisserie is a must-visit destination for sweet and savory treats. This charming bakery serves up mouthwatering delights, including the famous Classic Cinnamon Roll, Peach Bourbon Roll, and Mushroom Gruyere Brioche Toast. The homemade cinnamon rolls are delicious. Indulge in their scrumptious cookies, including the salted chocolate chip cookie and the chocolate chip cookies. The German chocolate cake is amazing and the summer sickle cake was outstanding. The brownie is very different but yet nicely done. Don't miss out on the biscuits and gravy or the breakfast sammy. The cozy shop may be tiny, but the flavors are huge. The staff is friendly and wonderful, offering quick service and high-quality food. The bakery also has a small beverage menu, including a vegan chai and cold brew coffee with seasonal syrup. There is some outdoor seating, great for a sunny day. Definitely a must stop.
