“I think the restaurant interior definitely needs a little facelift, but I will assume that may come with time. The service was very friendly and helpful. Food was pretty good but expensive for portion size. The catfish price was good for the portion size but 4 hush puppies are the serving size for a couple bucks. I hope they can continue to grow and that will lead to improvements.“

“We were looking for a new place to try for my birthday!! And I accidentally found my new favorite place!! Everything was 10/10!! I even tried some new seafood I was afraid to try! The food wasn’t even the best part it was our waiter Chris!! We never had an empty glass he always talked to us and made us feel so welcomed! He even went above and beyond to explain the seafood I was nervous about! Thank you so much Chris for making our night special!“

“Definitely top rated. We had never been and only assumed how it works. Our waitress Blair (hope I'm spelling it right) was amazing. She took us to Kpot school, from choosing our base to meats, and how to cook on the grill. Food was delivered fast, grill was charged out swiftly to keep it clean.“

“I ordered the catfish plate with fried okra and hush puppies with a side of Cole slaw. The fish came in very generous portion, golden brown and delicious. The okra were fried to perfection and the hush puppies were delicious. The slaw not so good. For the price of the food...well worth it. Will definitely be returning.“

“Like many has said, I'm shocked on how the quality seems to be going down. Hush puppies and fries were over cooked, very greasy. Cost wise..prices increase which is expected in today's time. I'll wait a while to see if it improves“

“On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Ms. Nita and her staff (Huge shout out to Caroline) catered a special luncheon for our principal, Dr. Shanessa Fenner, at William T. Brown Elementary School. We were celebrating Dr. Fenner’s Principal of the Year win and it was also her birthday. When I say the food was INCREDIBLE…… it’s nothing but true facts!!! Nita’s Kitchen did their thing!!! We are a tough team/family to please when it comes to our “chew”, and Nita’s Kitchen more than exceeded our expectations. We had everything: The yams, the green beans, the rice and gravy, the beef stew and rice, the collard greens and the MAC N CHEESE!! There was NOTHING left!! We enjoyed every bit of it. I can’t say enough about how good the food tasted. Everyone is still talking about it and asking for the location of the restaurant. Ms. Nita and Nita’s Kitchen, the staff of WTBES thanks you all for serving such a delicious meal and we appreciate you for going above and beyond and blessing us with such a flavorful experience.“

“Stopped in on my trip from orlando FL to home in Raleigh. The sandpiper is more a drive-through and takeout as it was hurt by COVID. However, the BBQ and pork chops sandwich was fantastic! Would return for take-out again as I live in Raleigh.“
“Have always wanted to go here… it’s .4 miles from my home I bought last year… but my timing is always off and my wife doesn’t care for seafood. Today I finally got to get there and it did not disappoint. I couldn’t decide between the catfish plate or the shrimp plate, so I got both. The shrimp were huge, and the catfish were delicious, unfortunately I got there late in the day and missed out on the hush puppies, but the fries made up for it. Will certainly be going back.“

“Every other time our food would be brought to us in just a few min. Today it took over 35 min., okra was overcooked, my chicken and dumplings had hardly any chicken, mac-n-cheese dry. They did offer free dessert to apologize for taking so long. I usually get the fried flounder which is great.“

“The food was good and I would probably come back and try it again . 2 tables in thwrw when we walked in. The lady took a while to get to us ...definitely wasn't in a hurry but neither were we so it didn't bother us too much. Once we ordered ...it took us about another 5 min to get our drinks. Food comes out ..asked for the alligator bites first but it all came together. I got ribs ...for $18 expected more than a 1/3 rack of ribs.(4 bones) and a 1/2 of baked potato. Mac n cheese was a regular size side portion . The lady working the front was friendly but needed some help for sure. it was just too busy for just one person. He loved his frog legs and red beans and rice . Wasn't a bad experience but definitely wasn't the best either .“
