Ice Cream Shops near Knightdale

“TLDR: Excellent flavorful Mexican style desserts made with fresh ingredients. Customer service and signage needs work. As a fan of their Cary location, I was excited to find out they have a Knightdale location too. Unfortunately this location is not as good as the one is Cary. Although they seem well staffed, the line moves slow. Plus during our visit, they were out of numerous items. This could have been an irregular experience, however, if it happens often I recommend they shorten their menu or post when items are out of stock. This would shorten the wait time since customers would not have to decide on a different item to order. Due to out of stock items, we ordered different items than originally planned. This was no big deal, however, we did not receive the new items we ordered. We ordered a churro sundae and dipped popsicle. We received a banana split and guava popsicle. The ice cream flavors, donut sandwich, and popsicle flavors we originally ordered were out of stock. I'm sure they would have fixed it, but we did not bother correcting them due to the long line. Nonetheless, the items were incredible. The flavors are strong and fresh and the desserts well balanced. I usually order mangonada, but was happy to try the guava popsicle. The popsicle flavors are posted at the end of the display case (at the front) rather than near the menu. This works for when you are ordering just a popsicle, but not for when you are ordering a dipped popsicle unless you already know what flavor you want. I recommend posting a popsicle menu by the main menu as well. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and liked how they stay open late.“

“Went to Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins in Knightdale NC for a hot chai tea. And the owners are nice enough but there's a problem with the communication. A friend ordered @ the speaker box but when he gets to the drive thru window his food isn't ready and the female owner (owner's wife) says NO order was placed. 2days later I go in for an online order and have just as much confusion with the owner when I try to purchase additional items.“

“We absolutely love love LOVE the ice cream served from here! We love them so much that they catered my wedding! There is TONS of different options and every single one of them is YUMMY! Cheryl and her son is incredibly amazing!! They both made my wedding day sweet! It was unexpectedly very hot on my wedding day and they cooled us all off! They are both professional, caring, and just amazing to work with! My wedding day would have not been the same without them! “Cookies are good. My wife and I didn't have to wait so that was fine. The cookies of the week change every week. My wife had a lemon bar cookie that she liked and I had a cookie dough cookie that wasn't bad at all. I'm sure we will be back.“

“This bakery has such a wide assortment of treats, there is no way you can go wrong. I find myself holding back because I was ready to get one of everything. Quick friendly service that was more than patient with me as I filled a box with goodies.“

“This is my favorite ice cream place. Chocolate raspberry truffle is my family’s favorite flavor. I’m in my 20s and I still ask for a dino cookie. For awhile this location was out of the cookies but fortunately they eventually got them back.“

“Went for the very first time on a Thursday afternoon. The parlor was very vibrant, clean, and the staff were friendly. There are a ton of options to choose from and they even offer samples if you are unsure. I loved the outdoor seating area and would love to come back and enjoy the sweet treats for the summer.“

“We reached out to NC Ice Cream about coming for a kids birthday party at my house. Even with it being over an hour and a half drive, she gave us a more than fair price and made my 3 year olds birthday a day to remember. She was very polite and accommodating. Maybe with one of the next birthday parties, I’ll be able to get her to come back. All-in-all, I would recommend to anyone. There was a great selection of ice cream available and everyone had a great time.“

“My daughter and I started having weekly visits to Nancy Jo's after our library time. Absolutely one of the best, friendliest, establishments in DT Clayton. My daughter loves their grilled cheese and their cakes!! I love having a place where we can go enjoy lunch for an amazing cost and have a beautiful welcome when we come in.“

“This is an amazing establishment, Susan has such a kind heart and is so willing to help people. I saw her helping a woman with clothes in very poor conditions, who appeared to be struggling, she walked out and gave her multiple pairs of shoes and shirts along with water and food. The owners here clearly care about their community and the people around them. They create such a kind and loving environment!!! And the food is absolutely amazing just to top it all off!!! I couldn’t recomend coming here more.“

“Went here on a reference from the folks at the NTB place nearby. The staff recommended it and I got an arepa and a refreshing drink of cucumber and lime.There are nicely bright colored tables with umbrellas on the grounds.Apologies for no pics but everything was made with care and love. “I loved this ice cream shop.. believe me, it's a hidden gem for Desserts. It's a South American ( if I am not wrong, Venezuela) ice cream shop. All the ice cream flavors were quite creative \\u0026 different from regular ice cream shops. They have lots of options for Ice Cream Bar as well. Staff was very courteous \\u0026 gave us samples of lots of flavors with a smile. This is a must visit place.“

“This was the cutest stop on a Saturday morning- and DEFINITELY worth the drive from the other side of Raleigh. It reminded me of home (since these are all over the northwest and northern Midwest). I got an iced vanilla almond latte with oat milk, and it was perfect. I nearly cried tears of joy at home cute and homey this place was. The baristas were great and I can't wait to come back :)“

“Right when you walk in, the atmosphere is bright and entertaining. Lots of items to choose from snack to desserts and drinks. The variety is great, you can always try something new. They also have options for vegan and dairy free desserts. Definitely recommend for anyone who lives nearby or is visiting!“

“While our order from Hwy 55 on January 20, 2023, didn't quite make it to the promised, the journey offered some unexpected twists and turns, both frustrating and delightful.Our initial order ended up being incorrect, which was a bit of a disappointment. However, the restaurant quickly rectified the situation by sending out a whole new batch of food.This extra food, while not what we originally craved (those shakes still haunt our dreams!), turned out to be a culinary revelation. The flavors were incredible, the ingredients fresh and vibrant, and every bite a testament to the restaurant's culinary prowess. It was almost enough to make us forget the missing shakes.Overall, our experience at hwy 55 was a mixed bag. The initial mix-up and missing items were a downer, but the restaurant's prompt and generous attempt to rectify the situation, coupled with the unexpected deliciousness of the bonus food, earned them back some major points.So, would we recommend hwy 55 Absolutely! Just be prepared for the possibility of a flavor adventure, whether it's what you ordered or not. And hey, maybe next time, those shakes will finally make it into our hands.“

This store offers all the products and is usually busy but I visited on weekday early afternoon so not that busy.
