“This was a lovely place for an afternoon ice cream. The flavors are unique and the texture of the ice cream is silky and creamy (of course). There is no seating inside but there are outside tables to sit and finish your treats. We chose to get our ice cream in cups not in cones although the cones looked yummy.“

I am assuming the "howling" part of the name is because this is an NCSU establishment (Wolfpack).

I have had Howling Cow products at other places throughout Raleigh, and this is the first time at the creamery itself. The grounds are wonderful. There is interior seating, but the star here is the back patio, equipped with rocking chairs and the like, with a large grass area overlooking the cows/farmland. Awesome. There are several creameries throughout NC that have a farmland type view, but the patio does it for me.

I've tried several items from HC. As far as flavors, cherry vanilla and almond butter stand out to me. I had a sundae this go-round, Fireside Brownie Sundae. It had a warm brownie, whipped cream, chocolate chips, and ice cream. They are extremely rich. They offer splits, several cup and cone options, shakes, and pretty much anything ice cream related. Has a bunch of toppings to make whatever concoction you want. I really enjoy the two aforementioned ice cream flavors and like this over everything else sampled. You can also purchase bottled drinks, t-shirts, and other dairy products.

Expect plenty of patrons, a line that usually moved fairly quickly, and ample staff to handle it all. HC does NOT take cash, and I actually love this aspect.

“Amorino never disappoints! This time, I enjoyed the Espresso Macchiato while my fiancé indulged in a Classic Cup with Pistachio Mawardi Sublime, Organic Chocolate Sorbet, Coconut from Sri Lanka, and topped with Pistachio Sauce absolutely heavenly!

We’re regulars here, and the quality and flavors always bring us back. The new computers at the front have made the experience so much smoother and faster—great addition! That said, we missed being able to sample flavors as we usually do, which is always a highlight of the visit.

“I had a very pleasant experience at the Kilwins location in Raleigh. The young lady who assisted my mother and me today was incredibly kind and pleasant. She offered suggestions, gave us compliments, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. She allowed us to taste test various ice cream flavors, provided free fudge samples, and even let me mix two flavors in one cup. The ice cream was delicious! I had the New Orleans Praline Pecan mixed with the Turtle Cheesecake flavor, and it was an amazing burst of flavors. Additionally, I got a milk chocolate and caramel-covered Oreo cookie and a larger pecan turtle. I definitely will be back! I hope she is there to help!“

“This is my favorite ice cream place. Chocolate raspberry truffle is my family’s favorite flavor. I’m in my 20s and I still ask for a dino cookie. For awhile this location was out of the cookies but fortunately they eventually got them back.“

“We reached out to NC Ice Cream about coming for a kids birthday party at my house. Even with it being over an hour and a half drive, she gave us a more than fair price and made my 3 year olds birthday a day to remember. She was very polite and accommodating. Still get charged for the old drink, infact my drink points I redeemed didn't even get accounted for. Terrible service. They won't remake your drink either, even if it's clearly wrong. don't recommend cary location its only gotten worse.“

“We did a fundraiser here for my sons football team at Knightdale HS. The manager was super friendly and allowed us to set up and do our thing. I'm sure we'll be back for another fundraiser and to just sit and eat.

“Hands down the best and most creative concept ice cream I have ever eaten! You watch as your order is made from scratch. It’s not a slow process, but it’s literally dessert with a pre-show. Hubby had the S’mores, I had the Monkey-n-Around (I subbed toasted marshmallow for the pirouette to avoid gluten) and parents got the Chocolate Overload. I read later on their website that they can also accommodate most allergies including dairy free! Some of us were full from dinner at Morgan Food Hall but could not put down the spoons! They also offer tours, and there’s a coffee shop within the space that uses their chocolate for mocha lattes and hot chocolate! Definitely somewhere you should stop if you’re in the area.“
