“My husband and I came down for his grand opening today March 29. We had the fried flounder sandwich and onion rings and they were five stars. His prices are so reasonable you do need to make this your one place to stop while you’re here at Kure beach. Jacob has a wonderful establishment and great quality of food”

“I wanted to thank Sunny Daze Smokehouse and their crew for being so accommodating to me and my son. He has a severe peanut and dairy allergy so I cannot have them. I messaged them that I wanted to eat there with my family, but had some dietary restrictions. The last time I was there I got some DELICIOUS brisket nachos covered in cheese. This year I couldn’t get my go to, but was able to get the brisket plate with baked beans. We are so thankful and appreciative, we will be back. If you have any local restaurants that would be accommodating, please let me know! Very far from vegan over here 😂 Carolina, Kure, or wrightsville beaches or Wilmington.”

“I’ve loved Saltfish on CB for years, but the new owners have really kicked it up to a whole new level. I hate to make it more difficult to get a reservation in this cute little tiki bar, but I gotta sing their praises. The service and food have gone from ‘really good’ to ‘omg I’m gonna dream about this meal forever’. I’m currently obsessed with their scallops- they’re served with a stunning curry sauce, fragrant rice, fresh citrus slaw, and Maduros. It’s a beautiful meal and perfectly executed every time. Last night we got the coconut shrimp app, the scallops and their chicken katsu, and then finished it off with their homemade rum cake with candied pineapple and fresh whipped cream. Everything was just incredible. They’re staffed better than they used to be- service is quick and friendly. Expansive menu of tiki drinks. Definitely recommend reservations even in the off season- it’s a tiny spot with limited seating. 10000/10 definitely recommend this little gem.”

“This is the best restaurant in Southport. The chef is amazing with outstanding dishes such as maple pecan salmon over risotto and the bourbon bread pudding with home made salted caramel ice cream. The service is always great and Kimberly was no exception on our recent visit. In addition, Barbara at the front desk was so helpful and a charm to talk with about all kind of things including her devotion to adopt and care for senior doggies. This is always one of our highlights on our long journey at sea from Maryland to South Florida.”

“We love Seaworthy! We have been there three times now and the food is so good! It’s really fresh and a lot of care is put into it. I never order salad, but the spinach salad with the homemade green goddess dressing is amazing! We’ve also had the fish tacos, shrimp and grits, crab cakes, fish tacos and the little one enjoys the kids cheeseburger and french fries. All of it delicious and we’ll definitely be back.”

The Pelican family went out if it's way to make us feel loved and welcome, to the point of tears. Our family of 5 including my FIL and 2 tweenagers enjoyed chicken, brisket, fries, buffalo chips, chicken tenders, baked beans and Mac n cheese. No complaints from anyone! The staff was helpful and kind helping my father in law who wasn't sure what to order. They let him try some of the meats before he made his decision. They do have a kids menu! The pickles and jalepenos on the bar were a nice touch, too.”
