“I like the food and generally recommend this restaurant. There are three things that frustrate me considerably and they significantly impact how often we go.1. $4.25 for soft drinks? Sure, make money on drinks; you're not running a restaurant for your health, but $4!! Because of this, we decide against going 50% of the time we otherwise would. Because of this, when we do go, it is well understood, we all are getting water without exception. If they charged $2.00-$3.00 for soft drinks, we'd go far more often and we'd spend money on drinks. Again, $4? Shame on you.2. The robot gets in the way and doesn't appear to serve a purpose. Prior to its existence, waiters would bring our food and set it on our table. Now waiters follow the robot around and put the food it carries on our table. What's the value-add of this thing? Pointless several thousand dollars spent on an obstacle. I'm sure the robot is why they decided to charge $4 for a Coke.....I actually didn't see it the last time I was there and a friend of mine said he hasn't seen it in a while and thinks they got rid of it. If so, good for them; I only have 2 grievances then.3. The men's bathroom has no divider between the urinal and the sink. If you're using the urinal and someone uses the sink, you're basically presenting yourself to them. It's a lose-lose situation. I mean, we're men, it's a men's bathroom and to a great extent I'm fine in a situation wherein I need to do what I gotta do and someone does what they gotta do and neither of us cares about the others' situation. Unfortunately there's no option to ignore the dude using the urinal if you need to wash your hands. I wonder how many people have used the stall and returned to their table with dookie particle fingers because they were too uncomfortable to wash their hands beside a stranger's wiener. In summary, junk the robot (if not already done), charge $2.50 for Coke and put up a $40 partition beside the urinal and great success will follow! It's the simple things that make all the difference. It's mid April. I'll come back around mid-May and hope to see improvement. If not, then Azteca, Monterrey and maybe even Taxco get our business.“

“Very good, when you get the right servers. If you get the wrong server, expect a pretty unpleasant experience of miscommunication and inconsistency in your order. I absolutely love this place when they are firing on all cylinders. They need to desperately work on training and consistency in regards to assisting their non-Hispanic customers that can't communicate with some of the servers. When things go well, the food is 5 stars, when they don't it's a 2 star experience. Very cute/clean restaurant in an unassuming tiny strip mall.“

“Best place I've eaten in a while. Fantastic service that knows that front of house charm matters. Clean building with an open kitchen and I know that open kitchens have to work much harder to maintain cleaning and order. Redicously large helping thats around 14 a person with a giant fresh takeout cup of tea and Lime. Fabiana was great.“

“I have traveled the whole USA hands down this is the best Mexican food I have tasted. Green sauce had perfect flavor just everything I ate was perfect. Also for the amount of food you get for such a cheap price I swear feels like your robbing them. But I will be back and anyone who loves that spice in their Mexican food this is the spot!!“

“We decided to stop by and see the Mariachi band. It was fun and they sounded great! The food was overall good, but small details could be improved for a 5 star. The waitress was very friendly and was bilingual so there was no worries for me as I only speak English. The atmosphere was very cheerful and inviting. The decor was very authentic and beautiful as it looked like the chairs and tables were hand painted. We will definitely be back!“

“I work 3rd shift and Taxaco stays open late enough for me to grab dinner for the night. The food is always fresh. I ordered the Burrito Supremo.(Chicken) It comes w/rice or beans. The rice is so soft, fluffy and flavorful. The chicken in the burrito is also perfectly seasoned. The meal is so filling! My dinner also came with chips and salsa. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant has welcoming feeling. The ambiance is great for a night out or a family gathering. Definitely a 10/10 I would recommend.“

“We finally found good Mexican food near Charlotte! The food was delicious and employees were very nice. You need to try the Papas Con Chorizo. It was the best! We also ordered an enchilada, chile relleno, and a taco. Everything was great, including the refried beans that most meals come with. We'll be back for more.“

“I stopped in for lunch yesterday and had a serious craving for sopa de pollo. Hands down, this is the best sopa de pollo I've had from any restaurant! In addition, my waiter was extremely kind and outgoing. I don't know his name, but he appeared to have black hair that was blonde in areas and pulled back in a hair tie. Super nice guy. Great experience and will definitely be back!“

“Super recommended, the shepherd ones are delicious, and what can we say about the very rich and spicy green sauce. ??I read comments before going about the sauce that was very spicy, and obviously it is spicy, that's why it's called salsa, in addition to being a Mexican restaurant, we Mexicans should know that.“

“Astonishingly tasty for a city that's mostly bland food-wise. The dishes are thoroughly seasoned and bursting with natural flavor. The fact that it's family-owned and operated can literally be tasted in the fresh ingredients and care put into prepping each meal. 11/10 look forward to my next food coma.“

“I dont think they serve alcohol but taco-game murders the competition. If you're out here for Margs & Chimichongas; go somewhere else. If you're serious about tacos this is the spot. This place can handle very large orders, fast, no-problem.Trumpo & Carne Asada tacos to-go in this pic..“

“Best birrias and tacos in Monroe. Moving from Florida we had a hard time finding good tacos and birrias around, someone recommended me this place. Service was okay, but it's understandable it's a small place where not a lot people eat in.In regard of food quality, is was great, no complains. Been twice and is constant.Recommend!“

“This is a hidden gem. The food was amazing. It was a great experience. Some of the best mexican food i had in a long time. Everything was seasoned perfectly. I had fajitas taxanas. Big portions, plenty of steak, chicken and shrimp. The veggies were cooked to perfection. I also really enjoyed their salsa. The atomphere was cute, with hanging plants to look like you were outside on a veranda. The stample was pleasant, made accomdations as needed. Just a pleasant disposition. Then the robot server came out playing a cute little song. A great experience all around. I will be going back soon.Parking: Plenty of parking is available lm“

“This is a small restaurant that has a small store attached to it. If you're looking for Hispanic products you can't find at other stores this may be the place. It's like a corner store. Not full shopping. Anywho the food is fantastic! The food is already cooked. But if you're looking for another item.on the menu they make it right in front of you. Parking is tight. Not a full restaurant Parking. They do however have dine in seating. Fresh made juices. Definitely a place to try out. You ❤️ affordable Spanish food? Authenticity made hispanic food low cost. Love it!Parking: About 15 spaces. It's a plaza.“

“Great Honduran food. Cannot go wrong with a Baleada con Carne, pupusas, or la Chuleta con Tajadas. I usually take out as i am not a fan of the service. Good food though.P.S. I think the owners should open a franchise in the Winston Salem area.“

“I came into this restaurant while I was over on this side of town. It did not disappoint! I got the authentic style tacos al pastor and they were amazing. I also loved the chips and queso. The fresh brewed tea was great. The salsa bar they offer is very cool too. I would highly recommend!“

“The food and service were great. Went on a Thursday evening and it wasn't busy at all. The restrooms were big, but could use updating or arranged differently. The only issue I have is the price. My bill after tip for 1 adult and 1 child was $55. Definitely overpriced for a mediocre restaurant.“

“Great lunch spot! Ordered al pastor tacos and was pleased. $16.95 for 3 tacos, rice and refried black beans. Everything was delicious and hot. Chips and salsa are $1.95 extra fyi. I do consider this an expensive lunch, considering this was lunch. I did order water but once you toss in a decent tip, you’re over $25 for a lunch. And a lunch most people would finish as it wasn’t “large”. But they did have several other dishes I would return for, regardless of price. Enjoy ?“

“I ordered 2 chicken tacos, beans and rice and a salad. Salad was shredded lettuce and radishes that I took home to dress up. Food was good and reasonably priced. I was especially intrigued by the beautifully bright cultural paintings that adorned the chairs. It was nice to view the art while dining.“

“There are a couple of La Unica locations in the area, but Indian Trail is the absolute best one! For years I've tried to make this a, "once a week", stop and for good reason. I always get the ground beef crazy burrito and it never disappoints me. Decent pricing with very fast and friendly service.Kid-friendliness: My kids love the food and the staff enjoys interacting with them as well.“

“Location can be deceiving, but don't let that fool you. Food is good, brought to you in a matter of minutes, servers are attentive, overall a pretty good experience. The carne asada tacos are stuffed nicely. 3 of those can tame anyone's hunger; and the tripas tacos are superb. Be careful with the salsas, they're hot. My favorite was the green one.Parking: Parking spots are limited at front of building, due to adjacent businesses, but parking lot is pretty big.“

“The black bean empanada is absolutely delicious! The build your own burrito is amazing and super customizable so you can figure out exactly what is going into your burrito and by using ounce measurements, it can make it very easy to calorie count here! The kids meals are perfect and actually sized to feed my growing 8-year-old son! Plenty of food and always fresh and delicious!“

“Easily one of the best Dominican fritura trucks in the greater Charlotte area. The yaroa is on point as well as their picadera of different fried meats. The chimi de pernil was absolutely perfect. We've eaten at this truck 3 times now and every time was on point.“

“We relocated from IL to Indian Trail, NC about a year ago. It has been challenging trying to locate a good authentic Mexican restaurant. My wife and I are very picky and have high expectations. I found this restaurant here in Yelp and read the reviews. We jumped in our vehicle and traveled about 25 minutes to try it. This place is very good and met our expectations. The restaurant needs some TLC, but the food is very good. My wife really likes the chicken tacos and I like the pastor, carne asada and chicken. The chips are fresh, and the pico de gallo is fantastic. I highly recommend the tortas too. We have visited twice since posting this review, and we'll be visiting without hesitation to try their soups and sopes. One drink I highly recommend is Champurado as a dessert beverage. The waitresses are friendly, patient, and enjoy to laugh. Remember, the restaurant needs attention, but they received a score over 95% from the health department which is better than higher end places.“

“The food was great. We were greeted when we walked inside, sat at the bar they handed us menus. I wish the waiter could explain a little bit more but I kind of had an idea of what I wanted. But besides that we got our food in a timely manner. I will be trying this place again.“

“I love this place. Tried it in a whim one day just because of the fact that you can barely see it from the street. How does this pace stay in business? They must be doing something right…right?Yes they do a lot of things right. Not every restaurant is going to knock everything out of the park and that's ok. i will say, we have found some great things on the menu that keep us coming back.Chile Verde is awesome. They do a great Birria and have some great tacos. But don't skip the Verde. It’s a house specialty.I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because it is exactly what I expected when i first pulled up and what i expect a great taqueria to look like.“
“My son Jack and I had a wonderful dinner together. I ordered my favorite, the Jocelyn Special (chicken enchiladas with cheese sauce), and he ordered a kids meal taco combo. The service & food were amazing! We love this place and will certainly be back.“
“The best authentic Mexican tacos I've yet to have in CLT. I get the shrimp tacos just like the picture (you gotta say that!) & the churros. Always great! Always consistent. Services is quick but they get busy, so call your order in. And someone said the cashier is rude, she's not at all, just busy.“

“1st time for my Wife and I to attend here. Finding a Mexican restaurant near us with good food is important. This business is about 5 min from our home and the atmosphere was great.I had the pick 2 Burrito and Taco, rice and refried beans. My Wife had the Pick 2 with Burrito's. The food was seriously well prepared and the taste was really good. Usually the beef at some restaurants has a dog food taste to it. This beef was very good and was seasoned well.We will be going back often.“
