“I've been coming to this place for years and have always had a good expeirence. Taco tuesday is our favorite day and they have a large variety of taco proteins to choose from. They also give you a bag of chips and salsa to go, which no other mexican restaurant does. Staff is very friendly, but it can get packed due to the small location.“

“Dang. I hate to have to update this, but this is not as good as it was. The last 2 visits saw wrong orders, inatentive servers, and similar. Yesterday, ordered my usual, #1, over light, please crisp the bacon. Eggs over cooked, bacon undercooked. Server not to be found. Never a coffee refill. As preparing to leave, they checked on us, and I *politely and quietly* showed them my incomplete meal. They did replace the items, but took a while, and I think the burnt bacon I was presented seemed a little spiteful.“

“I originally found this place while searching for chicharrones, and I’m really glad I did. I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic the food is and by the variety they offer. The meats are always plentiful and flavorful, and everything comes with homemade tortillas that are excellent quality—they’re soft, hold together well, and never dry or cracking like some places.
Their salsas behind the counter are amazing too. The habanero salsa is my favorite, and I’ve even been buying it to take home.
I’ve been coming here for the past few weeks, and today (Sunday) I was excited to see they had menudo, which was another great surprise, full of meat and tasted fantastic.
I actually drive over 30 minutes from home to come here (about 20 minutes from my work), but it’s completely worth it. The food is consistently great, the flavors are authentic, and I’m looking forward to continuing to try more of the menu.

“Tacos el trompo make the best burritos in town. This is a go to for my family when we are shopping at the mall. The burritos are so big we slip them in half and share with my whole family. This is something I would order for dinner to feed my family. They have fast service and I like their salsa verde with my burrito. They also have delicious drinks.“

“Eduardo was at the Chef Store yesterday getting supplies. I was there too. In my haste I left my wallet in the shopping cart and drove off. Eduardo found it and his wife called me giving me the address of the food truck. I went to their location and retrieved the wallet from him this afternoon. While this review doesn't speak to their food, it says much about the integrity of the men that operate this food truck. Honesty should not be as rare as it is these days but know that it exists at Antojitos de Nagua at 6721 East Independence Blvd. I will return to try their food as soon as I get my replacement debit cards. “While visiting Charlotte for a conference we were on a lunch break and stopped here to eat. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The interior of the restaurant was very festive but I did notice the features and the bathrooms were clearly a little worn. Overall, it was a very enjoyable atmosphere.
