Chinese Restaurants near Manteo

“We visited the OBX and stayed in Manteo in an AirBnB (with a dog), so we did takeout most of the time and just ate it at the house. Top China came up as being near us, so we looked at the reviews and were a bit wary. We tried to order from there on Sunday night, but they were closed. They were closed also on Monday and finally, we found them open on Tuesday. The food was much better than we expected because we were judging from the lunch menu pic on Google, which didn't seem to have very much. Their actual menu is much more extensive. The restaurant is a hole in the wall and is family run. You can see the parents cooking in the kitchen and the daughters run the register. There was no AC when we went and the front door was propped open. I don't know if this was because the AC wasn't working or if the business was trying to save money. In any case, most customers appeared to be ordering for take away. I would order from this restaurant again.“

“Egg rolls were too salty. Crab Rangoon were oddly shaped. General Tsos was good as always and also the steamed dumplings. This is our usual go to Chinese restaurant here but something has changed. And no fortune cookies🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️“
