“Ortega'z - what a GREAT gem! Heard about this restaurant on Guys Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives; and boy, it not disappoint! The pulled pork nachos appetizer was absolutely HUGE and AMAZING! YES, all caps is necessary. We also ordered two entrees - fish tacos and also Buffalo chicken tacos. Both came with 3 tacos, and rice and beans. Everything was so delicious and the portion sizes were great! Great prices for the amount of food you receive. Oh, and the service was great also! Will be returning very soon!“

“South Beach Grill is a staple during our annual OBX vacation. We order from there 2-3 times during the week. They are fast, friendly, and ordering is easy online. Dinner for our group of 9 was ready for pick-up in less than 20 minutes. Everyone has tried multiple things from the menu and everyone was extremely pleased with everything they’ve tried. My favorites are the southwest wrap, burgers, and Buffalo chicken Philly. Their fries are delicious… especially with their fry sauce or BBQ ranch. South Beach Grill is a must have on your OBX vacation!“

I was reading my latest Readers Digest when an acknowledgement was submitted about how the owner Kevin had driven 6 hours one way to deliver what was basically an elders last meal, because it was her last wish…to have a pork tenderloin meal from this establishment. “Out of all the great places my husband and I visited, this place was a must go to! We visited this place for their amazing shave ice TWICE. It would have been three times, but their customer lines can be very long. Can you blame them?!? The shave ice, no matter the flavor, captures the juice liquid so well, it melts in your mouth and is not overbearing. You don't even get brainfreeze! The ice is truly shaved. Not chunky or snowballed at all. Two thumbs up! We will visit this place AGAIN and AGAIN next year.“

“The sportsbar portion of Captain George's restaurant. Full menu available, including the seafood buffet. TV'S all around, even in the booths. Hard not to find the game or event you're looking for. It's loud, but that's because folks are eating, drinking, and having a good time. They do have a bar food menu that's pretty good, and always drink specials. Off season it's usually full of locals there to hang out and catch the game.“
