“We dropped in to take out a couple of Raichyl sandwiches along with brunswick stew and butternut soup. OMG, the butternut soup was the star of the meal. The sandwiches were delicious but that butternut soup was oh so yummy. It's a small locally run business so set your expectations on that level. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you're wanting fastfood go to Hardee's.”

“It been a really good place to eat till today and it was still good but the order was not what i ask for the to do it was even printed on the ticket to put the chicken in one box and the tater tots in another box instead they put one order of chicken tendes in a brown paper bag on top of the tater tots and put the second order of chicken tendes in another brown paper bag on top of French fries so i was extremely disappointed with the service today and I had ate their a lot I let it slide this time”

“Hunt Brothers Pizza is a great pizza for anybody searching for really good tasting food the employees are always very respectful their Pizza is also never undercooked or overcooked it is always just right with a perfect amount of toppings”

“I went by in to get a gift card as a thank you for a family member. They were happy to receive it. While I was there Starbucks was giving away peppermint mocha iced coffee samples. I tried one and it was extremely sweet-like hot chocolate. I will not be buying that! I like my coffee without sugar. They were able to ring me up quickly and were very helpful. The gift card choices were displayed out front and one said “thank you” so it was perfect. Overall it was a good experience.”

“Great addition to Mars Hill. Bagels are great. Naturally crispy and soft inside. Good load of cream cheese. Coffee is good(I like an extremely dark roast and this is dark, and toasty). Great start for the day. Will definitely come back and try some other food.”

“We were up in Mars Hill to have a lookie-loo, and sadly there were not many restaurants open - most seem to open at night. We drove past the Wagon Wheel, but I nixed the idea as I am a bit tired of country cooking. We were maybe 5 miles heading back to Asheville, and hubs was looking at the menu. Well we ended up doing a U-ie!

Place was busy! Lots of locals who all know one another it seems. It also seems that many of them eat there every day! We were NOT disappointed. Our server Caitlin was fantastic. I had the Philly cheesesteak with fries and it was yummy. Arnold Palmer was on point. Hubs went cuckoo! He had the meatloaf special. Meatloaf was good, but the mashed taters and gravy were delicious. Turnip greens were excellent as was the fried okra and fried yellow squash. We got some of their tortilla chicken soup to go - will be for dinner tomorrow.

All in all, it was an excellent meal. Came in around $24 for the two of us. Highly recommend.”

“We ordered take-out. Carnitas and Molcajete from their House Specialties. The staff was friendly and nice, they refilled one salsa bin because I asked for that one specifically! The food was wonderful. Lots of meat in the dishes. We ate only half for our dinner and will enjoy it again tomorrow! I'm not sure what happened with those that had bad experiences. We've eaten there twice and it was amazing both times. Prices are reasonable, the place is clean and the setting is cozy. I highly recommend this little eatery!”

“I absolutely adore the cookies, the cookie footlong. I’ve loved every sub I’ve ever had here. The place was clean. The employees were kind, efficient & hopefully they are paid well. I cannot express how appreciative I was for Peyton. He was so perfectly calm and kind. I’m a bit socially awkward at times and get confused or overexcited but he made sure that I had everything I needed. He is someone who is extraordinarily valuable to any company.
Sidenote: The added pressure from taking Online orders, especially when there is a packed line of people, Is something not to be taken for granted by any of us”

“We live just north of the village and come here often. Love Yellow Mug! Order at the counter, find a table indoors or out, they will find you when your food is ready. Terrific fresh-ground coffee, creative breakfasts, sandwiches, salads (I love The One with Quinoa and Butternut Squash—yes, that is its name). Very fresh food, veg/vegan and GF options, beer and wine, excellent wifi….one of our favorite places!!!”

“Great food, service, & beer selection! The fried pepperoni & cheese curds were delicious. My wife liked the firecracker shrimp Alfredo, but said it had some spice. The Greek platter was amazing as well. I got the combination to try both the lamb & chicken. The chicken tasted like souvlaki & was good, but I favored the lamb. I typically would order an old fashioned, but they did not have large blocks of ice. Given what Helene’s impact on western NC, I was happy to see this restaurant thriving & folks in good spirit. This place is a gem for the community, and I highly recommend.”

“Our New Year's Eve dinner at the Glass Onion was fabulous, as expected. We're new to the area and this was our second dinner at the restaurant. We started with tuna tartare, Caesar salad and the yummy complimentary rolls. I had the delicious lobster ravioli entree and my husband had the rib eye steak. Both were wonderful. We agreed that we will be regulars at Glass Onion!”

“Quick service the server was nice. The tea was good. One of my sides was forgotten until I asked about it. The only thing I didn't like was the sides change day to day. I also don't think they have Mac and cheese”

The kava tender who worked tonight was quick, efficient and friendly and the beverages are priced reasonably well as with the quality is excellent. “I ordered a cake for my Daughter’s birthday that was gluten, egg and nut free and it was absolutely delicious. My daughter we so excited to finally get to eat a real birthday cake. It made the day extra special. Most of the other bakeries I spoke with couldn’t accommodate making a cake with substitutes within the timeline I was hoping but Shawn was able to help make this happen. We can’t wait to come back and try her other treats!”
