“The house Avocado salad was AMAZING! This very satisfying dish contained a large amount of fresh salad greens, carrots, red onion slices, tomatoes, an entire sliced avocado, and croutons. I received 2 different types of dressing - both delicious, a large serving of tortilla chips and salsa. It was really enough food for two! Service was also wonderful, and while I chose to eat outside in the sunshine, the atmosphere inside was very festive! I will definitely return to try some other offerings. !Muchas gracias!”

“I went by in to get a gift card as a thank you for a family member. They were happy to receive it. While I was there Starbucks was giving away peppermint mocha iced coffee samples. I tried one and it was extremely sweet-like hot chocolate. I will not be buying that! I like my coffee without sugar. They were able to ring me up quickly and were very helpful. The gift card choices were displayed out front and one said “thank you” so it was perfect. Overall it was a good experience.”

“We ordered take-out. Carnitas and Molcajete from their House Specialties. The staff was friendly and nice, they refilled one salsa bin because I asked for that one specifically! The food was wonderful. Lots of meat in the dishes. We ate only half for our dinner and will enjoy it again tomorrow! I'm not sure what happened with those that had bad experiences. We've eaten there twice and it was amazing both times. Prices are reasonable, the place is clean and the setting is cozy. I highly recommend this little eatery!”

“I absolutely adore the cookies, the cookie footlong. I’ve loved every sub I’ve ever had here. The place was clean. The employees were kind, efficient & hopefully they are paid well. I cannot express how appreciative I was for Peyton. He was so perfectly calm and kind. I’m a bit socially awkward at times and get confused or overexcited but he made sure that I had everything I needed. He is someone who is extraordinarily valuable to any company.
Sidenote: The added pressure from taking Online orders, especially when there is a packed line of people, Is something not to be taken for granted by any of us”

“We live just north of the village and come here often. Love Yellow Mug! Order at the counter, find a table indoors or out, they will find you when your food is ready. Terrific fresh-ground coffee, creative breakfasts, sandwiches, salads (I love The One with Quinoa and Butternut Squash—yes, that is its name). Very fresh food, veg/vegan and GF options, beer and wine, excellent wifi….one of our favorite places!!!”

“Locals from Fairview and our first time at the glass onion. Met some wonderful cousins from out of town. Started with the pear and beet salad, which was delicious. Then of course we had to share an order of the wonderful fries. I had the trout and substituted kale for the side dishes. They also made a gluten-free for me. My husband had a ribeye which he says was one of the best he's ever had. My cousins had the ravioli in the same and they loved it. The place is small and loud and I think we might've been the loudest of all. Interesting artwork on the walls and a real fast pace place. Will definitely be back.”

“Great food, service, & beer selection! The fried pepperoni & cheese curds were delicious. My wife liked the firecracker shrimp Alfredo, but said it had some spice. The Greek platter was amazing as well. I got the combination to try both the lamb & chicken. The chicken tasted like souvlaki & was good, but I favored the lamb. I typically would order an old fashioned, but they did not have large blocks of ice. Given what Helene’s impact on western NC, I was happy to see this restaurant thriving & folks in good spirit. This place is a gem for the community, and I highly recommend.”

“I had breakfast; two eggs over-medium, bacon, Grits, toast, and coffee. The food was cooked to order, hot, and delicious at a good price. The staff were attentive and pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Check it out if you haven't already, and I will look forward to eating there again.”

“These people are great. They have good food. Plus they have great service. I went there and they had a sign on their door that said cash only and at the moment I didn't have any cash and walked away. They sent a customer out to tell us to come back and they would feed us regardless. Thank you and burger parlor employees. You guys are great. I really enjoyed the burger.
