“This place was by far the BEST ice cream shop I have ever been too. My sister recommended them because we are in town visiting and wow. We went with the brown butter pecan ice cream sandwich and it was out of this world I probably said mmm about 50 times. The short bread on it was cooked perfectly and so flaky. I also got the blueberry cheesecake and it was amazing as well! Do not think about it run to this shop! Staff was very friendly as well.”

“The house Avocado salad was AMAZING! This very satisfying dish contained a large amount of fresh salad greens, carrots, red onion slices, tomatoes, an entire sliced avocado, and croutons. I received 2 different types of dressing - both delicious, a large serving of tortilla chips and salsa. It was really enough food for two! Service was also wonderful, and while I chose to eat outside in the sunshine, the atmosphere inside was very festive! I will definitely return to try some other offerings. !Muchas gracias!”

“I went by in to get a gift card as a thank you for a family member. They were happy to receive it. While I was there Starbucks was giving away peppermint mocha iced coffee samples. I tried one and it was extremely sweet-like hot chocolate. I will not be buying that! I like my coffee without sugar. They were able to ring me up quickly and were very helpful. The gift card choices were displayed out front and one said “thank you” so it was perfect. Overall it was a good experience.”

“We ordered take-out. Carnitas and Molcajete from their House Specialties. The staff was friendly and nice, they refilled one salsa bin because I asked for that one specifically! The food was wonderful. Lots of meat in the dishes. We ate only half for our dinner and will enjoy it again tomorrow! I'm not sure what happened with those that had bad experiences. We've eaten there twice and it was amazing both times. Prices are reasonable, the place is clean and the setting is cozy. I highly recommend this little eatery!”

“I absolutely adore the cookies, the cookie footlong. I’ve loved every sub I’ve ever had here. The place was clean. The employees were kind, efficient & hopefully they are paid well. I cannot express how appreciative I was for Peyton. He was so perfectly calm and kind. I’m a bit socially awkward at times and get confused or overexcited but he made sure that I had everything I needed. He is someone who is extraordinarily valuable to any company.
Sidenote: The added pressure from taking Online orders, especially when there is a packed line of people, Is something not to be taken for granted by any of us”

“It been a really good place to eat till today and it was still good but the order was not what i ask for the to do it was even printed on the ticket to put the chicken in one box and the tater tots in another box instead they put one order of chicken tendes in a brown paper bag on top of the tater tots and put the second order of chicken tendes in another brown paper bag on top of French fries so i was extremely disappointed with the service today and I had ate their a lot I let it slide this time”

“We live just north of the village and come here often. Love Yellow Mug! Order at the counter, find a table indoors or out, they will find you when your food is ready. Terrific fresh-ground coffee, creative breakfasts, sandwiches, salads (I love The One with Quinoa and Butternut Squash—yes, that is its name). Very fresh food, veg/vegan and GF options, beer and wine, excellent wifi….one of our favorite places!!!”

“Great food, service, & beer selection! The fried pepperoni & cheese curds were delicious. My wife liked the firecracker shrimp Alfredo, but said it had some spice. The Greek platter was amazing as well. I got the combination to try both the lamb & chicken. The chicken tasted like souvlaki & was good, but I favored the lamb. I typically would order an old fashioned, but they did not have large blocks of ice. Given what Helene’s impact on western NC, I was happy to see this restaurant thriving & folks in good spirit. This place is a gem for the community, and I highly recommend.”

“This is one of our favorite restaurants and we will return! The garlic rolls are superb. On our last visit we ordered the Buffalo Mozzarella salad as appetizer which was fresh and refreshing. For main entrees we had the Parmesan Crusted Trout and the special Pork Cheeks Pasta. The trout dish was delicious and the ingredients complemented each other; highly recommend this dish! The pork cheeks pasta was ok, but not spectacular..it lacked flavor and was a bit watered down. Atmosphere is always great at this restaurant!”

“I had breakfast; two eggs over-medium, bacon, Grits, toast, and coffee. The food was cooked to order, hot, and delicious at a good price. The staff were attentive and pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Check it out if you haven't already, and I will look forward to eating there again.”

“These people are great. They have good food. Plus they have great service. I went there and they had a sign on their door that said cash only and at the moment I didn't have any cash and walked away. They sent a customer out to tell us to come back and they would feed us regardless. Thank you and burger parlor employees. You guys are great. I really enjoyed the burger. “Stopped in over the weekend, awesome beers (well crafted and I'd venture to say curated) "Beertender" was awesome to talk to and super enthusiastic about the brews. I love the historic takes and enjoyed everything I had I will be back! Also my kids loved the soda!”

Pecan honey bar: ask to have it warmed. Very rich. Good taste but mostly just tastes like honey.
Breakfast chorizo burrito: very good! Sausage has a strong taste, highly recommend.
Chocolate croissant: has chocolate on the inside, light and fluffy croissant. Very tasty.
Breakfast croissant: fresh and light. The tomato gave it a good fresh taste. If you want a light breakfast but filling, this is recommend.
Strawberry flavor in the latte was a huge hit with my party.
I wish they had some of the patties cut in half to see what the inside looked like, such as the eclair. ITS HUGE!
Fast pace environment like most coffee shops right downtown. Plenty of seating inside and a few seats outside if you want to tan in the direct sunlight.”
