“I visited Big J's for the first time the other day from an associate referral. I consider myself a food critic and I can say if you are a Fried Chicken lover they serve some of the "Best" fried chicken I have ever eaten. Better than "All" the "Big Chain" Chicken restaurants.My food was served Hot and Fresh. The service was welcoming and friendly it felt like home. The macaroni and cheese, plus potato salad I ordered for my sides were cooked and mixed to perfection. Most importantly the prices were affordable and reasonable.I assured them they had secured another customer and that I would definitely return.“

Boy was I wrong, it was the ambience of this place that struck me. When we walked in we found a long line of guests waiting to order their food. The highest price was $10 for a combo dinner that included a 1/2 barbecue chicken, two sides, hush puppies or Texas toast, a drink, and taxes, $10 total! The next day we did take out without the drink, Pulled pork,the two sides, three hush puppies, or toast, $8.50. I could barely finish the meals. They were tasty.“

We ate, my husband and I had bbq sandwiches, pork in chunks which was different and soooooo tasty, shared fries and beans, for about $16! “Found myself close by at 5:00, wife told me to bring dinner home. Hadn’t been to Hawg Wild in several years but was counting on it being as good as I remembered. Walked in and ordered takeout. Ladies at the counter were pleasant, helpful and quickly took mt order. Within 10 minutes, had my order and was on my way home, about 30 minutes away. Got home home, food was as good as I remembered , ladies recommendations were on the money and my wife and I were very satisfied. Can’t wait until I’m in Pisgah Forest again at lunch or dinner time.“

“We came for the Pizza, but the blonde that I am, saw buffalo mozzarella and I was Out!!!!STOP, ladies and you know who you are, just like me and think oh heck no I'm not eating buffalo cheese!!! BUT I did not ask until it changed my mind and I got BBQ, and then I got the nerve up to ask the waitress and she died laughing, and said honey you not the only one!!!!! So, I promise we coming back for the Pizza, especially when you see the oven it's cooked in, what!!!
