I was hesitant at first because of all the negative reviews but I had a craving for tacos and this place is literally less than a mile from my house. I cannot say enough about how fast my service was and Allyssa (hope I’m spelling her name right) was so friendly. She had a huge smile and really outgoing personality. This business is very lucky to have her. This level of service is rare. Give this girl a raise. She’s making yall look good Taco Bell. “I can’t say enough about my incredible experience at Mexicali Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was met with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.

The service was absolutely outstanding. Brithney and Stefanie went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

Now, onto the food—wow! I started with the guacamole, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The sopes were an absolute highlight: crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with the most delicious ingredients. A pitcher of margaritas was the perfect pairing—refreshing, tangy, and just the right amount of kick. To top it all off, the flan was the grand finale I didn’t know I needed: creamy, silky, and a perfect blend of sweetness to end the meal on a high note.

“Went with my girlfriend and had some dinner. She had the grilled chicken fajita skillet and I had the carne asada. The food was amazing, the vibe was perfect, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Our server Elizabeth and the manager Antonio were so helpful with the suggestions and all questions we had with the menu. The music choice really complemented the atmosphere and wasn’t too loud, allowing for us to talk during dinner. Was really a wonderful experience and will definitely have to come back and try some more food and drinks sometime in the near future.
