“Today was our first trip to Newland. We were looking for coffee and found Big Mike’s. The shop was so cozy and the staff were excellent! As for the coffee… We got our coffee and left. I got to the car, tasted my coffee and was perplexed. My order was specific, and when I tasted it, I was sure they got it wrong. I went back inside and verified it was sugar free. Y’all. It was delicious! The best cup of coffee I’ve had in recent memory. We will definitely be back!“

“What a delightful little gem of a store. From pottery, canvas artwork, handmade soaps, ice cream and the most mouth watering delicious handmade desserts. Our whole group got different things and let me tell you. The peanut butter pie was hands down praiseworthy. The banana pudding was the best I’ve ever had which the man at the register told us it would be. The cheesecake was fresh, creamy and scrumptious. And the pineapple upside down cake was the perfect balance of sweet and cake texture.The man behind the counter, shout out to you, sir. You’re doing a great job!“

“The employees are great. They went above and beyond to accommodate my order. I was there with my little 4 pound Chihuahua who I had just brought home from vet. McDonald's being her favorite place thinking I take her there maybe she might perk up and forgive me for taking her to the vet. The employees showed her so much love and attention I think that was the best medicine. I can not thank them enough for treating my little fur baby like a Princess.“

My husband went in and ordered myself a bacon/egg croissant that was just like I would make..the kind ladies working made my husband an omelette with whatever he wanted per what add ons they had in stock. The atmosphere outside was so peaceful and quiet plus the coffee shop supports the Communities for Children's home. ?“
