Restaurantji's guide to Newton's top Mexican dining experiences.
“Honestly the best food I've had! I got the bigger Pizzabirria and I highly HIGHLY recommend!! Also try their Jamaica drink (its kinda like a hibiscus tea!) It is SO good!! The guy was super nice and you couldn't ask for a better place to eat. Me and my boyfriend split it and we couldn't quite finish it all, we were SO full! If you're hungry, go here. Its 1000% worth it!“
“We got lost and ended up here and it was the happiest accident of my life. Amazing authentic food and service with a smile. We had no idea we were there past closing and they still served us the extra tamales we ordered. We made sure to tip extra after finding that out and we definitely will be back during regular business hours.“
“The best place to come to eat, i recommend you all, it's open all the day, Mamá July and Miss Siera are a cool in custumer service and ask for the famous Jose too, cause he assist you in English and Spanish language. Come a enjoy the most delicious dishes there.“
“First time today. Probably the best Mexican we've had in NC!! We bombarded them after a school play was over. We got seated quickly. Had drinks quick. And food was quick. Everything was hot and so very tasty!! The wait staff are so nice and very accommodating!!! They handled the crowd like a boss!! Highly recommend!“
“My boyfriend and I recently discovered Casa Azul, and we were thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was fantastic. The beautiful interior makes it a great place for a casual yet enjoyable dining experience, perfect for couples or even a group gathering. The customer service truly shined--our waitress was an absolute gem. She was incredibly attentive, keeping our drinks refilled and chips flowing throughout the meal (the salsa was seriously addictive, by the way!) Our orders arrived perfectly cooked and without any issues or need to send back.Speaking of the food, the portions were quite generous! Everything we tried was bursting with flavor, and the price point felt very reasonable considering the plate sizes and quality of the food. We even left with leftovers to enjoy later, which is always a plus. While the drinks were slightly on the pricier side, they were definitely worth the splurge; they were well-crafted and perfectly complemented the food.Overall, our lunch experience at Casa Azul today was fantastic! We loved everything--the tasty and plentiful food, the refreshing drinks, the outstanding customer service from our awesome waitress, and the fun and inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu and experience Casa Azul's hospitality again soon!“
“I had the chorizo torta and steak tacos. Had to split that into 3 separate meals there was so much food. Very good flavors. I will be going backWheelchair accessibility: It is a food truck in a parking lot so wheel chairs would have no issues at all“
“I came here with two friends and it was a very average Mexican restaurant experience. Not good, not bad -- exactly what you expect when at a Mexican restaurant! I don't remember what I order but it was smothered in queso with avocado on top. It was delicious, especially scraping the inside part up with chips. Very delicious. The service was fairly quick so that was nice, but it generally felt like every other Mexican restaurant. Overall: good chips & good coca-cola & nice waiters!“
“We stopped on the way to Asheville. With a table for 7 we all enjoyed our food...the service was great and the outside covered area was beautiful. We even browsed the little store and found itmes for home. Highly recommend! Oh and price was extremely reasonable!Parking: Just a small.lot ... we parked in the wrong place! Lol“
“Literally drove an hour just to eat the food here. Service is really fast considering the amount of time and effort that goes behind making this amazing food. I would drive any amount of time through any type of weather just to eat the food here.“
