“Busy little place! We did go during a parade, so it isn't their fault, they were doing their. Best to keep up with everyone. Good food, nice little homey atmosphere, perfect for a family or a quick dinner date. Seems like a cute place to have coffee and read the paper. Manager did come around and ask if we were getting everything we needed and ensured we were taken care of.“

“Melissa has such a fantastic gift to bring this local classic into the present. I love the fact we can pay w a card now (if you’re from Albemarle, you know several places that still, in 2024, don’t “take plastic” lol). The food quality is fantastic, consistent, and very tasty. Nothing bland here. I just hate that I can’t refuse to get a slice of pie every time.“

“My husband planned a surprise birthday party here in their private dining area. We had an amazing experience! Highly recommend for events! Jenny was an amazing host and even got to know all the guests by name. We had around 15 people and the space was just right. Food and drinks were excellent! Thank you!“

“Wonderful place! First time in today. It was a Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone who was working was so kind to me. I had a chai latte and a breakfast panini. Both were delicious. I will definitely be back to support this awesome local business. Cant wait to try out the lunch menu as well. 🫶🏻“

“Stopped in Wayside for lunch after work today. The service and food were amazing. We also got some really good laughs from the 5 guys sitting at the table next to us. Long story short 3 of them ordered a piece of chocolate pie and the one guys pie was still FROZEN solid. The waitress ended up microwaving it 2 separate times so he could eat it.“
