The Daily Planet Cafe Reviews
It was alright, and the food was mediocre at best
Fast in, fast out. Perfect place to grab a drink or a bite to eat if you’re in downtown Raleigh. Very close to the government center and basically on the same block as the museum. Fair prices, too.

The Daily Planet Cafe offers a variety of lunch options, including a kid-friendly menu and delicious sweet tea. It is a perfect spot for a quick drink or bite to eat, especially for those visiting downtown Raleigh, as it is very close to the government center and the museum. The staff is friendly, and while the food leans towards being gourmet with limited vegetarian options and a focus on fried protein, it goes beyond simple offerings like burgers and hot dogs. Customers have enjoyed meals like the fried chicken sandwich, which is delightfully crisp and comes with tangy slaw. The Daily Planet BLT is also surprisingly large and well-received. The cafe is wheelchair accessible and provides online ordering for lunch items. The atmosphere features an airy vibe with large windows for street views, and even when busy, it doesn’t feel crowded. Fair prices add to the appeal, making it a recommended spot for a bite before or after a museum visit.
