“I've been dining at both restaurants for years and enjoyed myself ,the food , and the staff! The food and sides at Morehead have a better flavor, taste better ,and the portions are much bigger. I ve notice that recently on my last couple times that the sides are much better at both restaurants. The mash potatoes in Morehead are so delicious. I wish that was the same case at the emerald isle restaurant. The Cole slaw is the best that I have taste recently. I swear if the food was as good as the sides have been lately I wouldn't eat anywhere else. SNAPPPERZ KEEP IT UP!”

“Picked up some cupcakes and a cookie from Happy Cakes in Morehead, NC, and they nailed it. The cupcakes were soft, flavorful, and topped with frosting that was smooth and perfectly sweet. The cookie was just as good, with that fresh-baked taste that’s hard to find anywhere else. Staff was friendly and clearly take pride in what they do. Everything tasted homemade in the best way. Definitely a must-visit spot for anyone with a sweet tooth.”

The store vibe is welcoming, quaint and so perfectly paired with a waterfront downtown area. You can sit inside to eat or sit outside on their Picnic tables to enjoy the water views! “I’m partial to Moxie for personal reasons but even before both my daughters started working there, I frequented the shop. I love the teas and the atmosphere here. It’s refreshing to walk in and more times than not, see kids sitting on the couch studying and doing homework. Places like this are what our kids need. A safe environment where they can go to have a healthy drink, snack and spend time with like minded people.”
