“I would like to share my family's experience at a restaurant we visited today. We're the Hall family and It was our first time there, and I have to say we were quite impressed! Our waiter, Mark, had a great sense of humor and was very polite. I also appreciated the manager, Ms. Amber, who introduced herself and was extremely sweet and professional. The atmosphere was just perfect - very positive and family-friendly. We had such a good time that we're already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!“

“Delicious healthy and reasonably priced food. Easy to take out or dine in. Ypu can customize. I like the gracious and pleasant attitude of the lady who seems to be an owner. I wish the new servers aren't scared to scoop enough especially item that are included, or those you pay extra. Regardless, our family is a regular there.“

“This is a very simple New England style seafood place. If you're not familiar with New England style, you might just think it's plain. The emphasis is supposed to be on the best available ingredients with very little interference. The most you'll find in seasoning is salt, pepper, garlic, and a dash of paprika for pizzazz. That said, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it brought back a lot of memories of summers with my grandparents in Maine. The staff are absolutely fabulous, and the portions are generous.“

“I've been wanting to try this place for quite a while, and finally found the time to give it a try. To put it simply, I should have not waited this long to try Choplin's much sooner! I had the 12oz Filet done "Pittsburgh Style", and it was one of the best steaks I have had in the area! My girlfriend had the Chilean Sea Bass, and she loved it as well! The service was amazing from the time we walked in! We will definitely be coming back!“

“Our server Douglass was funny and very attentive. The fries were so good and the portions large. I didn't expect them to have alcohol but they did! My salad was good but next time I think I'd go for a regular salad instead of a grilled one, (my lettuce was kinda soggy and brown from them grilling it) but I got what I ordered so I'm not gonna knock them for that. My boyfriends burger was good. I'd definitely come back to try something new we had a good experience. They had a huge menu“

“Haven't been to the Mooresville location, but just attended an event this evening in Salisbury catered by Big D's. The food was really good, the catfish in particular. Just for that we're planning some evening excursion soon centered on eating more Big Daddy's. :)“

“My favorite is the flounder chunks! Hush puppies and salad bar are great as well! Carolyn always makes sure we are taken care of for special events. Have been going there for years. My grandfather used to go there every time he was in town for the oysters! Great place when you want a choice of seafood and steak.“

“Great draft selection and they even had cyser (a style of mead) on draft! We ordered the burgers and asked for one medium and one medium rare. They got the temp perfect. The fries were really delicious and crispy but the real winner was the sweet potato fries. Crispy and soft and some of the best I have ever had. We popped in for lunch one day and look forward to coming back to try the dinner menu soon!“

“For those of you who aren't old enough to remember what a "fish camp" is, this is it! 3rd generation of family ownership. Scratch-made tartar sauce, onion rings slaw and hush puppies. Catfish fillet meal is strips, not a full slab. Still delicious; not greasy, and batter was not over-salty. Service was a slow for the size crowd. Server was managing 4 tables with total of 7 people. Never refilled my drink. Was offered more hush puppies, but they never arrived. Also got the wrong slaw: ordered sweet and received sour. I'll come back for the good. food, but probably lean towards take-out next trip 5 food and 2 star service.“
