“Moving to North Carolina I haven’t been able to find any good Mexican food….until I passed by Mama C’s. I saw this tiny building and quickly turned my car around. Not only was it delicious, it was beyond filling. I got an asada burrito that was as big as my head! An asada quesadilla, and a tamale. And I was happy with every last bite! I will absolutely be going back over and over. This will be somewhere I’ll go out of my way for!!“

“I wanted to thank Sunny Daze Smokehouse and their crew for being so accommodating to me and my son. He has a severe peanut and dairy allergy so I cannot have them. I messaged them that I wanted to eat there with my family, but had some dietary restrictions. The last time I was there I got some DELICIOUS brisket nachos covered in cheese. This year I couldn’t get my go to, but was able to get the brisket plate with baked beans. We are so thankful and appreciative, we will be back. If you have any local restaurants that would be accommodating, please let me know! Very far from vegan over here 😂 Carolina, Kure, or wrightsville beaches or Wilmington.“

“Spending a long weekend in OKI, eaten here two of the last three nights, for good reason! Some of the best BBQ in NC, and the nicest folks too. Adored the BBQ pork sandwich especially. It’s not an exaggeration to say that watching the sunset and then eating my sandwich here was the highlight of 2024. This spot two blocks from the beach? It’s almost too good to be true.
