“We come weekly and look forward to it! Stephanie is our favorite server, she's always friendly and takes great care of us. The food is fresh, the happy hour and nightly specials are good deals, and the atmosphere is fun! Highly recommend!“

“I suggested to our HOA board that we go eat at Que Onda after our meeting this evening. They joked that you have to take a loan out to eat there... prices have increased. Still, we enjoyed their food in the past, and we like to support local businesses in our community. First, no more chips and salsa when you sit down ... not even an offering. What Mexican restaurant doesn't have chips and salsa when you sit down? And for dinner I ordered a taco salad, sans beans, cheese and pico. I subbed rice and mushrooms. I was charged $9.95 for the shell and lettuce, $3 for rice and $4 for mushrooms. I have ordered this veggie alternative for years at several places - never have I been charged $17 for a "salad". Had the waitress mentioned the upcharge at the time I ordered, I could have made a decision to go ahead or to change my order. But she NEVER mentioned the additional cost. Sadly, they lost 3 local customers tonight, as well as being one of the catering / community meetup options we were just discussing 30 minutes earlier. Be fair. Be transparent. Discuss additional costs instead of simply charging and assuming your customers want to pay extra - again, I would have changed my order. Adios Que Onda!“

“I’ve been to just about every Que Onda location around Charlotte, but finally remembered to take photos at the Matthews spot tonight. As a California-born taco lover, I’m almost embarrassed to admit how incredible the tacos are here... because I’ve eaten at just about every hole-in-the-wall from Tijuana and all up and down the East Coast. I know good tacos, and this place absolutely deserves its flowers.

Every single taco was phenomenal, but the steak is out of this world. The flavors are bold, the textures are on point, and the tortillas hold everything together without falling apart, which is a bigger deal than people realize. “Got fajitas takeout last night. It was great! With the fajitas, you get the fajita meat and grilled vegetables in one container then in another container, you get rice beans and then in like a little shell tortilla shell you get lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole that’s in a different container and then the flower or corn tortillas come rolled up and some aluminum foil and then of course you also get chips and salsa is a whole lot of food. My family was very happy, and we had leftover fajitas the next day. Definitely ordering here again!!“

“Tacos el trompo make the best burritos in town. This is a go to for my family when we are shopping at the mall. The burritos are so big we slip them in half and share with my whole family. This is something I would order for dinner to feed my family. They have fast service and I like their salsa verde with my burrito. They also have delicious drinks.“

This chicken was well marinated- fried to perfection and the sauces- 1 avocado salsa and 1 salsa picante were heavenly 😋 they underestimated me as they were unaware I am fluent in Spanish so I quickly changed the interaction ordering my food in Spanish and we both smiled and chatted while I waited for my food. This place is so welcoming and warm with great authentic dishes and I love the fact they make tortillas from scratch! The taste is so much better and natural!“

“Eduardo was at the Chef Store yesterday getting supplies. I was there too. In my haste I left my wallet in the shopping cart and drove off. Eduardo found it and his wife called me giving me the address of the food truck. I went to their location and retrieved the wallet from him this afternoon. While this review doesn't speak to their food, it says much about the integrity of the men that operate this food truck. Honesty should not be as rare as it is these days but know that it exists at Antojitos de Nagua at 6721 East Independence Blvd. I will return to try their food as soon as I get my replacement debit cards.
