“I suggested to our HOA board that we go eat at Que Onda after our meeting this evening. They joked that you have to take a loan out to eat there... prices have increased. Still, we enjoyed their food in the past, and we like to support local businesses in our community. First, no more chips and salsa when you sit down ... not even an offering. What Mexican restaurant doesn't have chips and salsa when you sit down? And for dinner I ordered a taco salad, sans beans, cheese and pico. I subbed rice and mushrooms. I was charged $9.95 for the shell and lettuce, $3 for rice and $4 for mushrooms. I have ordered this veggie alternative for years at several places - never have I been charged $17 for a "salad". Had the waitress mentioned the upcharge at the time I ordered, I could have made a decision to go ahead or to change my order. But she NEVER mentioned the additional cost. Sadly, they lost 3 local customers tonight, as well as being one of the catering / community meetup options we were just discussing 30 minutes earlier. Be fair. Be transparent. Discuss additional costs instead of simply charging and assuming your customers want to pay extra - again, I would have changed my order. Adios Que Onda!“

“I've been coming to this place for years and have always had a good expeirence. Taco tuesday is our favorite day and they have a large variety of taco proteins to choose from. They also give you a bag of chips and salsa to go, which no other mexican restaurant does. Staff is very friendly, but it can get packed due to the small location.“

“I originally found this place while searching for chicharrones, and I’m really glad I did. I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic the food is and by the variety they offer. The meats are always plentiful and flavorful, and everything comes with homemade tortillas that are excellent quality—they’re soft, hold together well, and never dry or cracking like some places.
Their salsas behind the counter are amazing too. The habanero salsa is my favorite, and I’ve even been buying it to take home.
I’ve been coming here for the past few weeks, and today (Sunday) I was excited to see they had menudo, which was another great surprise, full of meat and tasted fantastic.
I actually drive over 30 minutes from home to come here (about 20 minutes from my work), but it’s completely worth it. The food is consistently great, the flavors are authentic, and I’m looking forward to continuing to try more of the menu.

The al pastor and carne asada tacos are my go-to every time. The salsas are so good (and some are really spicy 🌶, so don’t say I didn’t warn you 😂). I haven’t tried the burrito yet, but it looks amazing.

The fresh tortillas taste authentic, and seeing lots of other Mexicans eating here is always a good sign. Overall, I’d give it a 9/10. Definitely worth checking out!“

“Tacos el trompo make the best burritos in town. This is a go to for my family when we are shopping at the mall. The burritos are so big we slip them in half and share with my whole family. This is something I would order for dinner to feed my family. They have fast service and I like their salsa verde with my burrito. They also have delicious drinks.“

The interior of the restaurant was very festive but I did notice the features and the bathrooms were clearly a little worn. Overall, it was a very enjoyable atmosphere. The pastry is delicate, delicious, and flakey, the fillings are plentiful and so yummy, and the folks behind the register are always so nice and helpful with suggestions if you’re not sure what to get. Eduardo found it and his wife called me giving me the address of the food truck. I went to their location and retrieved the wallet from him this afternoon. While this review doesn't speak to their food, it says much about the integrity of the men that operate this food truck. Honesty should not be as rare as it is these days but know that it exists at Antojitos de Nagua at 6721 East Independence Blvd. I will return to try their food as soon as I get my replacement debit cards.
