“Being from California, I have been searching the entire East Coast for a Mexican food restaurant that actually knows how to cook REAL Mexican food, it took me five years but I finally found La Familia here in Statesville and they DO NOT DISAPPOINT! Hands down, the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving from California (THE BEST BY FAR!) And to top it off, their prices are VERY reasonable! We had the chicken and mushroom quesadilla to split with grilled onions added and it was the best quesadilla we had ever had at any restaurant! “We don't order out often at all, it's a once a month thing, but when we do it's usually from Marco's. Every single delivery has been well within the timeframe, each driver has been friendly and we've never had complaints. The food is always hot, always filling, and always made exactly how we order it - great for our pickiest eater. Julius and the team at Marco's are always welcome in this neighborhood, and we just love them for their great food and attention to detail. One message to our driver from this evening, whose name I failed to catch (she has lovely reddish dyed hair) - you're amazing, and I only regret not being able to tip more.“

“This is the best spot for Asian-style buffet in all of Statesville. The food is consistently tasty and appealing. The staff are always paying attention to you while you sine, and they also pay attention to the food they have put on; food is replenished often, and is always warm. The only areas that can merit complaints are the small dessert and sub-par sushi they have on offer. All around good option, as it is well priced and consistent. Good prices, too!“

“We come to the Hickory area once a year for a food show and this is our second time visiting the Conover location and it's absolutely delicious! I was so impressed on the first visit that I called the restaurant to let them know that it is the best Americanized Chinese food I've ever had. Everything is obviously fresh and perfectly prepared. At this point, I firmly believe that the only thing in the restaurant that's not scratch made are the fortune cookies. The staff are very nice and the food is amazing! Portions are very generous and definitely shareable. I've been in the foodservice brokerage business for 16 years, and in foodservice in general for 48 years and done dozens of shows in NC and SC and I've eaten at the best restaurants in the region and worked with the top Chefs from the coast to the mountains. Rice Fun is in a class by themselves in the "Chinese" restaurant segment. I can't really convey how impressed I am with the food and the people in a facebook post. I'll just give them 10 freaking stars! Well done folks! Well done.“
