“How they keep return customers, I don't know. We keep trying to have a good experience but have been disappointed almost every time. Parking lot looks like an area trash point, service is slow, food is mediocre (which is OK for a beach bar, if it is consistently good, warm and tasty). We need good restaurants in Sunset Beach, this one has a looong way to go. The food trucks in the park across the street offer a better dining experience, which is sad.“

“We stopped here after our dolphin watching cruise because it was close by and we were starving! Oh my goodness! I’m so glad we stopped. I had the BEST crab cake I have ever had. That’s saying a lot because I’m from Delaware and grew up on seafood. I’m very picky about crab cakes and don’t usually order them. But the description said Maryland style crab cakes so I took a chance. Best choice ever! They were amazing! My husband had the clam strips that was the special of the day and they were also amazing. So many he couldn’t eat them all. We shared a bowl of seafood bisque that was also delicious. Our waitress even split it into 2 bowls for us when we told her we were going to share. Food was served quickly and the staff was super friendly. I highly recommend stopping here!“

“Walked in to Vinofiore because I was gifted a gift card. What a wonderful gem I found! Was greeted with a big smile and shown around the shop and provided with a list of events and activities that are held there. You can come and taste, enjoy a glass or buy bottles! I will be back for sure.“

“I could eat good Chinese food 24x7. I’ve had Chinese food in “Chinatowns” around our country, including San Francisco, and always try carry outs wherever I travel. This is a top 10 carry out location for me. Very good American-Chinese food. I’m glad they don’t use fish stock in their Szechuan. Their Crispy Beef is like a Shredded Beef Szechuan from my favorite Chinese restaurant in Fairfax, VA. To me it’s a must-try. Look forward to many more meals at New China!“

“If I could give a 10 rating 10 times I would! I ordered a 20-person package of bbq & chicken with slaw & potato salad. It was delicious & included iced tea, cups, paper plates, napkins, utensils, bbq sauce, hush puppies, & even salt & pepper…….plus ice. I couldn’t have asked for better food & service…….it was ready at pick-up time & rolled out on a cart with help to load into my car. I would definitely recommend this for a crowd & will definitely do this again!! Thank you, Smithfield’s in Shallotte!!!!“

“We had the best time, great food and fun service! One of my best friends and I ate there, at the outdoor bar. We had a blast with the staff and the other patrons. We met a couple of four legged regulars….some very tame raccoons came up on the deck and added to our fun and laughter!“

“We arrived early evening on a Tuesday and the place was absolutely slammed. We put her name in for a table and went upstairs for a Tiki drink or two. Drinks were excellent. After we were seated our server, Riley took out drink order and reappeared quickly with water and our drinks. I have the captain’s platter and chose shrimp and clams and Anne ordered the shrimp and grits. Riley had warned us that it’s a large portion, but who knows what that really can be. Well, the food arrived promptly and the shrimp and grits truly was an enormous portion. Enough for two. Was creamy, cheesy, slammed full of shrimp, andouille and mushrooms. My shrimp and clams were lightly breaded and fried to perfection. Frankly, as busy as it was, I was surprised with the speed of service and the quality of the food. Absolutely recommend this place!“

“Drove 50 minutes to meet some friends to eat here for the first time. Was told it could be up to a 2 hr wait . The band was awesome and the wait was only an hour and 10 min. EVERY person we came in contact with was super friendly and hospitable! The hostess was not at all upset when we asked to move to a different table because we were right under an air duct. The food was great! The chips with the crab dip tasted stale and we probably should have sent them back but we didn’t want to mess up the good vibe. We enjoyed it and would def do the drive and wait again .“

“We went here for an anniversary dinner. That was a mistake in the sense that this was not a quiet place with good atmosphere. However, for another time, it would be a good place to go. It was a little noisy and very crowded, but the food was very good. We had all you can eat crab legs, and they were cooked the perfect perfection. So we enjoyed this restaurant and we will go again, but not for a special occasion like an anniversary.“

“We were seated in a room with only 4 tables, all the couples were able to enjoy a quiet conversation. Our waitress was wonderful, helping us with a great wine selection. We chose the duck confit which we found just a bit overdone, but the vegetables and salad were delicious. For dessert we ordered the creme brulee. That evening it was as good as, or better than we have ever had anywhere. The texture was just right and the touch of orange flavor, a dollop of whipped cream and a few blueberries made it special. We have dined here before and will again.“

“We love Fibber McGee's! We don't get here as much as we'd like to. Today was Octoberfest which was a bonus. Josh was our server and he was amazing. He was very attentive and gave us his insight on the different meals being offered that day. We will definitely be back.“
