“Excellent pizza almost as good as Ct's Pepe's which is where I learned about great pizza. 2 areas of improvement needed. 1) spread sauce and toppings farther out on the crust. 2) Cook the crust longer to get it brown or more cooked instead of soft. Needs crunch.”

“They have two gentlemen on their dock to help you tie up. When we finished lunch my power steering hose leaked. Nick the dock worker helped me get back on the water big shout out to Nick at Provisions. The food was great it our go to place from the water.”

I am a local and feel that not only was our serivce exceptional but the food was on par with several mislin star places in New york that I have eaten. even food i usally dont like like squash i loved here. I will be 100 percent going back and look forward to it being my new spot.”

“Tucked away in a strip mall with a Food Lion is one of THE BEST restaurant options in the area! Do not waste your time and money going to the other more expensive places. This is the place for a plate full of fresh, flavorful seafood and at a reasonable price too! This is where the locals eat and for good reason! Excellent customer service and a great casual yet colorful atmosphere. The employees are friendly, hard working and they care about their customers. Happy to give them a rave review and I know where I’ll be eating the next time I’m back!”

“I am an unapologetic shrimp nerd.… Fried shrimp in particular. Yes, I’m spoiled. I’ve had fried shrimp up and down the eastern seaboard from Maine to the tip of the Florida keys. Perhaps I’m bias, having lived worked and visited the Holden Beach area for the past four decades, and I’ve had my share of both good and bad shrimp. Unfortunately, more of the latter than the prior. Which brings me to The Wharf… The latest incarnation of one of my favorite seafood spots, Betty’s seafood. The simple charm and iconic waterfront setting of the restaurant remains the same. Casually relaxing on the patio watching boats go up and down the intercoastal waterway, particularly at sunset, is mesmerizing. That was always the draw for me… Until tonight. The Wharf has taken a simple staple and executed it to perfection. Excellent shrimp, executed flawlessly in the classic calabash style, left me wanting more. Adding insult to injury, they made me forgo my favorite condiment of all time, good cocktail sauce. In its place is an amazing garlic/Cajun aïoli that is transformative. Add to that the friendly, attentive staff, and you have the makings for a real game changer in the Holden Beach seafood scene, which has seen decline in the past several years. Do yourself a favor and experience this for yourself. I’ll be back for sure”

“Wow! I have been coming to this area on vacation for 4 years. I had heard of Themis bakery but, I didn’t expect it to live up to the hype. I was WRONG! This is a real bakery! Cinnamon rolls are delicious and served hot! We tried a large sampling of everything (2 types of cinnamon rolls, crumb cake, apple fritter, key lime pie, and a brownie) and we loved it all. We are planning to stop again on our way out of town.”

“Went to The Scoop Sunday morning and ordered a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich just as I have numerous times through the years. I was told that they no longer served it on toast, so I would have to choose a bagel. I asked why I couldn't get it on toast and I was told... "They were selling to many of them on toast, and not enough on bagels, so they quit offering it on toast. That way they would have enough bread to make a kids' grilled cheese". I am still shaking my head!!”

“Cafe Ahora really takes care of their customers. Their location on Hwy 17 was closed this evening but they’d neglected to lock the door and I walked right in, desperate for a shaken espresso. I had spent almost 3 days in the hospital without coffee and really wanted a shaken espresso before I went home. But I hate being “that person”, so I apologized, and tried to leave. But the lovely couple insisted I was not imposing and proceeded to make the best shaken espresso (breve, because that’s my jam!) I’ve ever had. Thanks, guys. For making my entire day. I already love your Midway location, and now, I’ll be sure to frequent your Hwy 17 location, too!”

“Went to DQ on way to the beach last week, Had great customer service from the lady who we found out was the manager who not only whipped up some amazing Sundaes and peanut buster parfaits for a big group of us but did it with out missing a step and always kept smiling, We enjoyed our stop and will definitely be back. “My family was apprehensive to go here because of the rating, but I'm glad I could convince them. Fried dumplings (a bit crispy and MASSIVE), Chicken lo mein, egg rolls. All of them were great. I can't speak to the rest of their dishes, but I've had lo mein at dozens of restaurants and promise you this will rank amongst the best you've ever had.”
