“Thought we'd never have Root Down after the Salvage Station, so it is an absolute honor to have these folks in our neighborhood. They can cook some mean ass food y'all you can definitely feel NOLA in their hearts. We got just about one of everything and have never been disappointed. This place teeters on spicy (I can't tell, but my partner can) so proceed with caution if you have the same spice intolerance.

Terra Nova is a huge place with generous seating and views of historic Beacon Village. Multiple seating places and different areas. Both indoor and outdoor options. The bar is always attended by very kind bartenders who have the patience of saints. They occasionally have live music or performances that are equally delightful.

“We had a wonderful evening at sunset Terrace and noted that the ocean appetizer with fresh seafood was phenomenal. All of our entrées, especially the Seabass were fresh and flavorful. The ambience was lovely and as always, the view did not disappoint. We had a lovely server named Erica, who gave excellent recommendations, and perfect service. We will return!“

“We stopped by there today on Christmas and they were opening at 3! so we waited 15 more mins it was 2:45 then. When I tell you we had the food and dining experience at the bar. The young lady working was awesome happy friendly and full of energy. Thank you for opening today to feed others and leave your home and family. “The buffet at the blue ridge used to be one of the highlights of our stay at the Grove Park, but this trip it was a little disappointing and was just OK. The service and view was as always impeccable, but the food not so much. Biscuits were hard, no southern grits, no sourdough bread, selection of pastries was limited. Perhaps it was a weekday (Thursday ) and is better on the weekend.“
