“my close friend owns this stand with his wife and let me tell you this is some of THE BEST Mexican food in slidell. I had a chorizo quesadilla and a chicken burrito today and they were both 100% perfection. no grease, no chinsey amounts, the burrito was fat and full and the quesadilla was full and sealed perfect so nothing fell out. if you want the best then this is where you need to go”

“We ate dinner there on a Monday, 9/25/23 while on our 50th anniversary vacation. We chose the outdoor seating. My wife got the vegetarian tacos with a side of sweet potato tots. I got the fried shrimp tacos with a chef’s side of maple balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts. The food was fantastic and a big thanks to our server, Eliza C., who was super! We highly recommend Foragers”

“Great place. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is delicious. I got the pastrami on rye with grilled onions. It was fantastic. I could only eat half. Warmed up the other half for dinner that night and it filled me up. If you are in Sylvania you should really give it a try. You won't be disappointed.”

I highly recommend the crab rangoons as an app. Blackened shrimp fajitas are heaven, the andouille PoBoy is scrumptious, Crab Cakes are amazing, hands down the best crab legs in town. They have daily specials and I haven’t had anything I don’t like. The owners are truly genuine and so kind. It’s our favorite place to eat in town.”

“We stopped in for lunch after an eye appointment in Sylva. The server was attentive to our needs and took good care of us. We did note some food crumbs in the booth seat we sat in and the seats were needing some repairs as there were tears in the bench. Our food was delicious and was almost as ordered, I don't eat raw onions and requested that they be left off of my sandwich, however when I received my sandwich it was loaded with red onions. I picked them off and ate the sandwich rather than complaining.”

“Nice beer selection. Allowed us to taste before buying. The chicken tenders were over cooked but still good. Fried Brussels sprouts were really good. Filled up very quick after dark. Beer cheese is basically Mexican Queso. Definitely recommend. Burger was great. Wings were cooked well, crispy, and meaty. Cajun fries were run of the mill, but still really good. Overall I would recommend to couples for a date night or a family needing a quick bite. It has a hometown vibe and I’m glad we stumbled upon it.”

“Rivers and Rails is incredible! We absolutely loved their fish and chips, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. We stopped by RNR after our rafting trip in Dillsboro and accidentally lost a wallet during our visit. Two days later, it was found under a table by a customer, and thanks to Rhonda for figuring out how to contact us and the staff (especially Sky for safely securing it), we got it back before we had to fly back to Texas! Their kindness and honesty made a big impression on us. If you’re looking for great food and even better people, definitely check out Rivers and Rails!”
