“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. We live near Greensboro and drive 30 minutes to get to Monte De-Rey even though there is a Mexican restaurant less than 5 miles from our house.The food, atmosphere and prices are great. Our waiter tonight, Carlos Alexis, is one of the best waiters we have ever had. He made us feel like we were his only customer, he was funny and personable and gave great service. If you have not been to Monte De-Rey you need you need to check it out. You will not be disappointed.“

“The rotisserie chicken was moist and seasoned well with a tasty skin on it. It came with a wonderful green dipping sauce.

I was surprised at how good the vegetable sides were. They were perfectly cooked brassicas and carrots which were seasoned well with a mild teriyaki sauce.

The food was served on handy trays with built in sauce holders.

The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Several staff exceeded expectations and they clearly care about their customers and their food.

I hope to come back and enjoy the outdoor seating section one day.“

“Tonight I visited Di Lisio’s for the first time. What a find! Began with a great Multepulciano Abruzzo. Then a delicious appetizer our table shared. My entrée, chicken piccata, was amazing. The other dishes at our table looked deli ours too. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and gracious service. Highly recommend! I will return soon.“

Slappy's Chicken is the definition of a hidden gem and is worth the wait. This establishment is normally lined out the door and down the sidewalk. The sides are all phenomenal, especially the Mac and cheese.

“We are driving home from Myrtle beach to northeast Ohio and decided to grab pizza on our way home. I found that Winston Salem was a pretty good middle stopping point and looked for top rated pizza in the area. I found Burkes after searching through a couple different options and to say the least we are overly impressed. We love pizza and this is definitely top 5 best pizzas we’ve eaten. The girl who answer the phone was awesome at answering all my questions and we ended up getting at 16” chicken pesto, and added all our favorite toppings and a slice of the grandma pep cup. It was cooked to perfection when I ordered it “well done” and my slice was HUGE. Highly recommended as it was super fresh .“

I asked for extras twice and only got it one time but got charged two times. The only time the bartender was attentive is when it was time to check out.“

“Delcious Greek foods, served with a warm smile. We took the last parking spot, which seemed like a positive sign that we had chosen well. Even though The Olive Tree has a casual atmosphere and counter ordering, the items are homemade and small batched baked with fresh herbs and spices. The spanokopita was a double portion and my Greek chicken salad was generous. Our menu items were served on real dishes and silver utensils. I'm so glad we found this gem while on our first visit to the Winston Salem area.“

“Stumbled upon this place in Reynolda Village and what a find. The food is outstanding! I had the Greek salad with grilled salmon; it was perfectly dressed and every bite was full of flavor including the grilled salmon with perfect char. Delicious! And raspberry sorbet for dessert because why not!?!

I was seated at the busy bar during Sunday brunch in front of the kitchen window. The entire staff, from bar tenders, servers, chefs, management etc, are all happy and respectful towards one another. The vibe of the staff says everything about the restaurant…almost as important as the food. It was busy to say the least but all staff were getting the hard work done and joking along the way. Refreshing to see.

“I asked for what everyone has been taking about, The Birria Taco's. This was my first experience and it's something I'll reorder. The portion is great, four tacos with a decent amount of juicy, tender and flavourful meat. My order was take out and everything was in the bag, no need of asking for extras, had my sauce, my spoon and extra napkins.
