The place looks really good. Cleaned up new inside. Good slaw. Stopped there. The shrimp was cooked to a rubbery chewy consistency, the fish was overcooked and dry, and the scallops had come so small they were smaller than my finger. The girl at the register was about as fast as a turtle but the food came out super fast meaning it was ordered in a basket under hot lamp and sent out. My husband and I ate at The Crab Shack tonight. The fried soft shell crabs were delicious! The shrimp were delicious. The slaw was delicious. The homemade sweet potato casserole was delicious. Everything was delicious!
While traveling to the Outer Banks of NC we stopped here for dinner. The restaurant is rather small but it has a very cozy coastal atmosphere. They have a very extensive menu with a great variety of seafood, but also with burgers and sandwiches. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. Nothing fancy about the sides, but the slaw was delicious as the French fries were cooked perfectly.
