When leaving a parking space, it's a bit difficult to see an oncoming car or the car that's backing out. They are always busy, but if there is a wait for food, it's worth it. Sonics is the only place I am aware of that gives the customers a perk during 2:00pm - 4:00pm, its HAPPY HOUR and drinks are half price. Perfect time for that Route 44 drink or milkshake on a hot day. During MY visits, service is ALWAYS awesome! "Enjoy!"Kid-friendliness: Play area with parental guidance. Can order from playground.Wheelchair accessibility: At the end of parking, dont have to back out. If the way is clear can drive straight out of the park.“

“It's an Italian ice and ice cream stand and it's as basic as you'll get. Plus it was so hot, my ice cream was melting before I got in the car. Great flavors for the Italian ice but limited ice cream selection. I chose the peanut butter brownie ice cream, and I absolutely loved it. We also had Pina Colada Gelato and it was a winner, too. If you find yourself near Roanoke rapids, stop by and give them a try.“
