“Fantastic and completely authentic regional Chinese food. Basically a takeaway place with about 6 seats. Xi’an food is hearty and delicious. Not super spicy.

The big thing is this: from the super-streamlined ordering to the flimsy plastic containers to the freshly prepared food in a nondescript strip mall, this place feels more like China than any place i have been to in the triangle. Highly recommend. Had the tea eggs, spicy noodles, and mutton stew. The spicy lamb pockets are just ok. Filling was great, but the flat bread usually has more flavor (and fat) in my experience.

Still, happy this plac is 40 minutes away. I would be in TROUBLE if this place were closer.”

“If you are planning a special occasion or just want a night out at a wonderful restaurant, I have a bit of advice for you. Go to Chef Palette! This establishment has got it together. The atmosphere is just lovely. We planned our son and future daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner from afar, way far.....Michigan. As stressful as that could have been, Kathie did everything to ease our stress. She calmed this Momma's heart and executed everything to a "T". The appetizer table was not only displayed beautifully, it was YUMMY! The salad, main entrees and dessert did not disappoint. But most of all, the staff was most kind and extremely professional. We cannot thank Kathie and the staff at Chef Palette enough for the wonderful and memorable evening we shared together. GO TO CHEF's PALETTE!”

“My husband and I tried Roman style pizza here, for the first time and we loved it! Fresher and lighter than NY style pizza (although we still love NY style), very satisfying because of the taste and quality of the ingredients in the Parma and Burrata pizzas that we ordered! Claudio who is from Rome made the experience even better as he prepared our order and explained about the special dough which is the perfect base for the gourmet toppings! “We have been wanting to visit The Blind Pelican for a while, and finally took the plunge for my husband’s birthday. This trip will absolutely not be our last. The place was packed on a Tuesday night (it’s not a huge space, especially in the winter when outside seating isn’t available, so plan accordingly). Our wait time was exactly what the hostess promised, and service was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. All staff were phenomenal and checked on us while we were waiting as well as once we were seated. The staff aren’t overly attentive, which we love (they checked on us enough to be helpful but otherwise just let us enjoy our meal). We obviously HAD to try the crazy fun bloody mary’s. They were delicious - exceptional bloody mary’s, and all of the food on top was perfectly cooked and a joy to eat. I had the Taco Tuesday special - lobster tacos with a mango salsa that made me do a happy dance, and my husband had the steak and scallops. Everything was so good and worth the price, in my opinion. Quality seafood can be pricey in central NC, but worth it! The bloody mary’s are obviously a novelty item - but the quality was so outstanding that I would actually order one again (which is saying a lot as I figured it would be a one and done). I can’t wait to go back and try all of the other items on their menu - including some fun drinks & apps we didn’t have room to try this time. If you’re on the fence, just go! You will be glad you did!”

“We had been ax throwing before at Epic Ax, and went to book a spot to go again when I learned they are closed permanently. Searched for another spot and came upon this one. And I’m so glad we did!! They had projector games to choose from! Instead of the same target board over and over, you can choose different games! We did the traditional one and went to a zombie board, and did a word game. And many more games we didn’t have time to do! The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly! My husband and our son and his girlfriend had the best time, and we most certainly will be back!!”
