A beautiful, classic pizzeria with luxury table tops, stained glass fixtures, rustic wood floors and brick walls that provides an elegant yet warm feel throughout the dining experience. The service and hospitality were superb; every interaction from the host, bartender, server, and manager allowed me to feel welcomed and accommodated. Each member went above and beyond for my friend’s engagement celebration. We were greeted promptly and generously. I met the manager, Drew, and my server, Lauren, who were both fantastic. Lauren made us the best cocktails. She even juiced real apples to make the most phenomenal drink I have ever had. We ordered a pizza and Strombolis, which were all fantastic. They both came with a fresh salad and warm, crispy fries. We ended our experience with gelato, and even though our bellies were so full and happy, I don't think we could ever go back without getting the gelato for dessert. Everything was clean, beautiful, and tasty—just perfection. If you want a fun evening with exquisite food, friendly service, as well as a memorable experience, Benny’s is the place to go. “For a special occasion last week, we travelled from Durham to Wilmington try this restaurant. We were NOT disappointed and it was so worth the trip! The dishes were all plant-based absolutely delicious. Even if you are normally a carnivore, you will not miss having meat. The restaurant space itself is beautiful and very tasteful and relaxing. “We stopped here twice in one day because it was that good. The banana ball was so good and my daughter LOVED their beignets. Their frappe was the best she has ever had. The dirty hippie was my favorite drink. We had to grab one of their donuts as literally just staring at them is mouth watering. “What is there not to love about this place?! We are in town from NY. We stopped to grab lunch I got the sweet n savory with the house made chips. My daughter got the Mac n cheese and fries. Huge portions of fries were are mouthwatering. My sandwich has so much flavor and blended well together. The Lavender Lemonade is a must and refreshing. We ended up coming back my daughter got the same thing again but with the parm fries. I got the Goat which is AMAZING it was so yummy. The soup was really good too. Absolutely great food, quick out of the kitchen. Our waitress bantered with me and that was the icing on the cake. But, she also shared diet specific dishes for one of my companions with gluten restrictions. If you are a homecooking kind of human…you must try Ruth’s!!!“

“Faith restored!!! After swearing never to return I thought I would give it another try and very happy I did. I ordered the Eggs Benedict again and our Waitress, Trish remembered me and said, "you like your Muffins well done right?" I must confess being remembered after so long was a tad uncomfortable and I thought "oops maybe I was a little too vocal and critical last time I was here! But Trish was charming and allayed any concerns in that area. She was very attentive made sure my meal came out exactly as we had requested, Muffins well toasted!. I have been back twice since and hoped that I would again be served by Trish, sadly not but received great service from my servers and the food was perfect. This restaurant has an holistic approach to serving insofar that your main server may not be the one that brings your food or ensures you are well served with Water, coffee or whatever. I believe tips are shared but regardless this results in a high level of attention to the customer. Though not our prime server today I was happy that Trish was on hand to keep my coffee cup full. Shame on me but I did not get my prime servers name today but I would be remiss in not also giving kudos to her for great service. Thank you for restoring my faith. Oh, I forgot to mention the Breakfast potatoes are to die for!

The good, excellent friendly and attentive waitstaff. The bad: the kitchen does not respond to customer requests/desires. I love Eggs Benedict and this is what I typically order and they do a good job getting the eggs right. However, I hate soggy muffins and specifically ask that my English muffins be well toasted (just about black) and on only one occasion out of many they actually got it right! I have had to return many due to the underdone muffins and even after returning them they still seem reluctant to toast them as requested. Today I made the same order
plus a side order of Hollandaise sauce. Specifically mentioned I want the Muffins very well toasted, they arrived almost pure white! I returned them and then at best got medium toasted and the side order of sauce was stone cold and the potatoes barely warm. When I informed the waiter that the sauce was cold I got the most ridiculous response that they could warm it up but that could cause the eggs to cook up. When the English Muffins are well toasted and crispy the Eggs Benedict are excellent but I have had enough of not being given what has been requested and ending up frustrated and disappointed. Sorry to say this will be the last time I eat here.“

“Unbelievable. If you are going to be in Wilmington and you do not go to this restaurant, you are missing out. The food was cooked to perfection. The quality of the food was clearly a cut above all other restaurants, and the atmosphere and experience phenomenal. The baklava and Turkish coffee was a perfect finish to a protein heavy well cooked amazing meal. It was by far one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. You need to make time to visit this place when you’re in Wilmington.“

“I really enjoy the people and the overall atmosphere here. Came to Grinders quite often when I first moved back to Wilmington. However, Grinders has always been on the high end for prices. Just got my first Dirty Chai over 8 dollars in Wilmington! I didn’t mind that it was made iced instead of hot as I requested but the prices are pretty ridiculous for the area. Go to Bespoke or Casablanca, get the same ambience and mucchhh more affordable coffee in my opinion!“
