“As you pass the Skinny Cook, it looks like a hole in a wall restaurant, but it's much more. It's where you eat home cooked meals with family or friends. It's a well-known place by all locals in Monroe. It stays busy for breakfast and lunch. The prices are very reasonable, you can't beat it. I had lunch there and ordered the loaded tots and chicken wings. The wings were spicy but not super hot, just right. The loaded tots came with tons of melted cheese and bacon bits. Absolutely delicious ?.“

“It was my first time ordering takeout from here and there was a mistake with my order and the staff bent over backwards to fix it without trying to place blame on the customer and that's rare these days. They also taught me the best way to order my preferred food in order to avoid any confusion in the future. The manager Tan is awesome.“

“Last night my husband and I went to the Mayfair Seafood restaurant in Monroe and it was worth the 45 minute drive, worth the money, and we had a great waitress named Amy! The fish was cooked perfectly. I had a baked sweet potato and it was cooked just right. We both had the flounder platters, and yes their prices have gone up a little bit, but it was well worth the money and our waitress was on top of things, she made sure we had tea when we needed it, extra napkins, and tartar sauce. Before this I guess it had been a little over a year since we had been there because the last time we were there our service wasn't that great and the fish was a little greasy but this time everything was just perfect. When the fish is cooked as great as it was last night, you guys have the best fish within a hundred miles of Monroe or maybe even further out than that so keep up the good work!“

About 35 guests in one of the private rooms and went exactly as planned. Highly recommend this restaurant for a gathering or dinner. Deedee fantastic to work with planning the details.“
