“It’s hard to find authentic Mexican food in west Winston but Los Juanes really outdoes itself! Not only are the dishes delicious and aesthetically pleasing, the atmosphere is great for getting some drinks with friends or celebrating a life event with family. All of the meats are super fresh, probably bc they have a Mexican meat market attached right next door but we recently had the torta and the bread was soft and had a fresh baked taste to it. For drinks I’d recommend de Michelada or the Palomas 😍 Just had their pozole yesterday for the first time and I was really impressed..tasted like someone’s mama made that 👏👏👏 Also Friday nights is live music night! Definitely recommend!“

“We’ve eaten at taco mama numerous times ,they’re a little on pricey side but good! Never had problem until yesterday, we waited for them to open so we could place a Togo order for lunch. Ordered barbecue burrito meal , meat was over cooked ,dry had nothing but meat and a lot of meat in burrito they left everything else off that was supposed to be in burrito. Chips were soggy ,no salsa and no guacamole . Ordered shrimp soft & hard tacos they were soggy had two pieces shrimp in each taco no sauce ,they left off guacamole, rice was dry and plain. Idk if they just weren’t ready when they opened but food was not up to there normal standards! Not sure if we will be back for money spent for lunch def not worth it.“

“After seeing the mentions for this little Mexican Spot, I had to try it for myself! The place is pretty clean. The young lady that took my order was very kind & polite. I ordered the beef Birria Tacos & a side of rice & beans! The tacos were cooked to perfection & had lots of meat! The beef was so tender & flavorful! The hot & green sauce were also a hit, but the birria dip was the most flavorful out of any place I’ve tried thus far…most places are pretty watered down but this one was pretty bold! The rice and beans were also good and tasty! You get 4 tacos for $11 so it was definitely worth it! They only take 10-15 minutes to make your order and you’re out the door! They also serve a large variety of imported Mexican beverages and jarred veggies! Go!! You won’t be disappointed! 😊“

The waiter mentioned he was having a bad day after the "Shelby came out of me"...I guess a bad day was what he was serving as well even if we just wanted shrimp tacos....I didn't get the tacos...I just got a bad day...then went to Burger King 👑 had it my way. I'll cook my own tacos tomorrow! Don't eat at Mi Pueblo on Stratford road. We couldn't even complain because the manager had to get translation from Lucifer....our waiter.... eat popcorn PBJ sandwich even if you're allergic to PBJ just don't go there.“

We have been loyal customers of this location ever since it opened many years ago, typically placing a takeout order at least once a month. Over the past few months, we have been disappointed to see a noticeable decline in La Carreta's service. Staff are not as friendly or helpful as they have been in the past and takeout food orders are frequently inaccurate. Picking up my takeout order today, I had to stand at the front counter for over 10 minutes before a staff member eventually appeared. There was absolutely no one managing or keeping an eye on the front of the restaurant during this entire time. The employee who finally showed up to help me was curt. There was no apology for the wait and no thanks for my order. The food was adequate but not up to usual La Carreta standards. I'm not sure what's wrong at this location, but it will need to improve for us to continue ordering from them.“

We are a family of 6, when we eat out, if we can feed everyone for under $100, I'm pleased. The total with tip was around $65. We loved the way it was packaged in biodegradable pizza boxes. I ordered an hour ahead because of the amount of food and it was ready OK time. I will definitely be back.“
