“A real nice restaurant. A menu for most tastes and appetites. I went on a weeknight. It was busy but not overly. I had the soup of the day (a veggie-based creamy) and the calamari and kale salad. They have starters, smaller dishes, larger entrees, desserts, and plenty of beverage options. They change the menu regularly. It can be expensive, or moderate, depending on your selections.“
“Excellent food! Wings are amazing. This restaurant is set up where you order and pay for your food first at the register, they give you a number and bring the food to your table. There is no wait staff. Beer is served and the wings are hot.“
“We decided to order everything that looked good and share it all since we were traveling through and likely can't return. We got the gnocchi (amazing) the crispy Brussels (best ever in our lives) beef cheeks (insanely tender and 10/10) pork belly (10/10) sunchokes (good but not exciting) fried chicken (perfect and the strawberry barbecue sauce was perfection!) and the schnitzel (the sauce was ISANE and a perfect dish!). Overall we LOVED this place and the prices were so reasonable! The two of us ate all we wanted and took tons of leftovers home with us. Love loves this place!“
“Sunny Point Cafe lives up to the hype. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday and had about a 45 minute wait, which was reasonable. While you wait they have a super cute back garden you can walk through with herbs and flowers. They also offer drinks on the patio. They had a live musician when we were there.Once seated l, the food did not disappoint. We started with Fried Green Tomatoes which was excellent. For my main I had the biscuits and gravy which was very flavorful. My friends enjoyed their meals also. Definitely a recommended go to while in Asheville.“
“Had my first catfish and absolutely loved it! The cupcakes and hotdogs were delicious! My husband and sister-in-law couldn't stop praising their meals. We all reminisced on our dishes hours later, and probably years to come. Great prices as well, fast service, friendly, patient, and accommodating! There's also a nice place for kids to play in the grass and stretch their legs. We hope to visit again in the future ? Sending our love from Florida and Israel ❤️חבר'ה, אתם חייבים לפנות לכם כמה ימים בשביל המסעדה הזו. היא מדהימה עם בשלן נחמד ומדהים! ממש שווה!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options available. Plenty of beef and chicken only meals.Kid-friendliness: Large grassy area to play and stretch legs. Outside and noise friendly.“
“Boy is this place hoppin’!The line went out the door by 11 on the Saturday me and my mom went, but we had gotten there just before that and were able to find a seat outside. We saw like 3 bridal parties too.The food was awesome, I got the special while my mom got the half breakfast plate. The jams from the jam bar are hand-made and very yummy! The sweet tea was good, and my mom noted that her latte was totally legit. The line cuts right through the main dining area and I felt bad watching people struggle to get to their seats through it. I felt a little claustrophobic standing in line, and it was also kind of loud, so the outdoor seats were nice to have as an option. It can also be noted that even though there were a lot of people, it seemed like everyone was able to find seats.Other than that, no complaints, after all it’s not their fault they have so many customers!“
“The pulled pork combo is pretty good. Glad the pulled pork isn't chopped up like every other place seems to do for some reason. The mac & cheese was on the greasy tasteless side. Potato salad was on the overcooked side bordering on the mashed potato side. The cornbread was the best part of the meal and I normally don't like cornbread. It was moist, hot, and flavorful. It's odd how more and more places are adopting what is called a "combo," but the drink always seems to not be part of the "combo." The meal was filling, but the price was a little on the high side ($13.50 + drink cost, tax, and tip) considering the amount of pulled pork. Fix the massive hole in the parking lot!“
“The BEST spot in Asheville for breakfast and lunch on the go. Consistently delicious. Specials are out of this world..staff are extremely friendly. Cool spot, cool people. Meatloaf sandwich, Turkey Ruben, chicken sandwich, breakfast burritos..chef's kiss 10/10 everytime!“
“I have dined here many times in the past. I love the view of the mountains and the wait staff is always well- trained and friendly. The building is historic and a bonus to enjoy before or after the meal. The food is very good for the price, with an outstanding variety. The crab legs and shrimp alone are enough to make the meal worthwhile. I recommend an early reservation time if noise is an issue.“
“This place is amazing ? I recently brought a friend here from Boston and they really went above and beyond and showed him what true southern hospitality is all about. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I will continue coming to this location for many years to come and always introducing new people to Tupelo Honey ?“
“Me and my wife loved everything about this place. Located in the heart of the city. The service was A+ when we were there and the food was incredibly delicious! We will be regulars here without a doubt. If anyone is ever in Asheville, stop here for brunch. You will not be disappointedDietary restrictions: Had some gluten free options“
“Where do I start. I absolutely love Doc Brown’s. The customer service is truly the definition of southern comfort and hospitality. The food has always been consistently amazing throughout the years. I got the tri-tip plate last night and it was so wonderful, I ate it all with no regrets. Local brews on tap, and the most reasonably priced in the area. Live music is coming back for the season, and it’s always so fun and refreshing to see the community get out and have a nice time. Thanks Doc Brown’s!“
“After following them for years, I finally got to try out their food on Sunday at New Belgium in Asheville. I had the fried oyster sandwich. Probably the BEST fried oysters I've every had... tender, crispy and perfect. Unfortunately I couldn't have the sauce that they put with it because it contains milk, and they didn't offer me an alternative. So I just put some crystal hot sauce on it. My husband had the Seintan sandwich (vegan) that was spiced to taste like Italian sausage. He said it was quite good, and would order again.“
“This place started in Ashville NC and now has 20+ locations all over the US. Every time I’m in Ashville for work I eat here! Really great options for some unique dining. I always get the hot honey chicken with Mac and cheese waffles and it never disappoints! Service is ALWAYS excellent, so nice and friendly! Definitely one of my top 10 restaurants to eat at.“
“It was a really nice and chill place. We had a great brunch. They handled our group of 11 with ease. If in the area, I’d go back.Kid-friendliness: Our kids were very comfortable and they made concessions with the menu items to accommodate the kids. They pretty much told us tell us how you want it and we can make it.“
“Was with a big group of 14 us. Most of them were in wheelchairs which we were able to choose to sit. Most of us sat out on the covered patio and the others sat inside. We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed the quick service. Thanks for the great service!!Wheelchair accessibility: Patio seating was the best area for those in wheelchairs.“
“Don’t sleep on Early Girl! Rachel, our server was so much fun and the food was incredible! We live right down the street in West Asheville and have come occasionally, but this will definitely be on a regular rotation, and you can take the at from an Asheville local. My boy had the Apple Cinnamon Bacon Biscuit French and it was the hit of the table. 5 stars, highly recommendDietary restrictions: My wife is gluten free and the fried chicken and waffles being gluten free regardless is very good!Kid-friendliness: 2 boys, ages 9 and 7, wide boothsWheelchair accessibility: My mother in law uses a walker and it was really accessible“
“Chicken salad pita tasty. Garden salad sufficient. Line service queue quick. Plus $3.25 water bottle. Diet coke fountain. Portions could have been more for the price, had to satiate hunger elsewhere afterwards. Maybe that’s their grand plan.“
“Great vibes and good food! I stopped in for brunch and sat at the bar - the girl working the bar was super friendly and helpful, great service. Ordered the “Bow to the King” biscuit French toast with fried chicken and homemade whipped cream - the French toast biscuits were so clever and quite tasty! The fresh whipped cream was great too. I though the fried chicken strips were a bit average though, and a bit of a skimpy portion compared to the biscuits.Overall a good meal though, would go back.“
“If you eat this chicken make sure to have an American flag waving. This is chicken. Fried chicken soooooo good you will start clucking.Eat here. Grab a beer from highlands above and be cool like us locals.Or go to a fast food spot and be lame…“
“Their broasted chicken is so juicy and the flavor is delicious! Really great and super affordable take out to feed a family gathering of 6 for under $55! Pulled pork, 12 pieces of chicken, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw and yummy hush puppies!“
“Move aside all other breakfast restaurants, Moose Cafe has you beat. Hometown diner feel, giant moose as you walk in the front door, and a collection of people not afraid to sing Sweet Caroline when it comes on the overhead radio. The biscuits are so flakey and gigantic I was worried I would fill up on those before the main event, but I somehow made space. The hasbrown hash is a must.“
“Thank you . First time to Asheville and were kinda lost . Signage is minimum but finally arrived. Food was very good and drinks were a good pour. Waiter Nick saw our dilemma and promptly presented our drinks , appetizers ,and, finally, our entrées. Thank you Cheddars . Hasta la Vista.“
“Delicious food!! Exquisite tastes!! Every bite shared was delicious. ? Atmosphere was busy and seemed a little tight. The only uncomfortable part about the experience was we were not told the check can only be split 3 ways with a group of 8 people. Not sure why we manager later allowed to split the bill 7 ways but not 8 ways as that was the total of us in a group. Friends felt uncomfortable and pressured. Overall be aware it is pricey. Gratitude + plus kitchen appreciation added. Surprised us since it was our first time there. However overall delicious food. Recommend“
“Passing through on our way to Fayetteville and wanted a spot where we could all find something we liked, and wouldn't all be totally weighed down. In the hallway you can see all the magazines they've been written up in and I would concur. Something for everyone. I loved that you could order breakfast or lunch. We got: Bow to the king, pancakes, chicken bacon sandwich, spinach & potato pancakes, tofu scramble, and the southwestern omlette. Also a side of hot honey carrots and cinnamon apple slices. Loved the list of sides you could add to anything. The chicken - they do it right, so good! A nice light non-greasy coating. Everyone was happy with thier selection. The spinach potato pancakes was creamy and fluffy. The jam on the table was outstanding. I liked that nothing was overly sweet like many places you find in the south. Would def recommend the apples. Lots of seating in front and back of the restaurant. And both our server and what I presume to be the owner stopped by the table asking how it was and what they could do to make it better. I told him I'd give it 4 stars because I never (or very rarely give 5) so he wanted to know what would make me give it a five. Small things but would go back!“
“It's always consistent and very good. I usually get the catfish or country steak. I would recommend here or anywhere along your way.Parking: Plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: Kids meals, and toysWheelchair accessibility: It's wide enough between isles. Although might be tight during busy hours.“
“I was just passing through with my mom, and decided to stop here to fill the empty spot. The prices were fair, and the food was delivered in less than 3 minutes. Mom ordered a pulled pork sandwich with Cole slaw and potato salad, while I ordered the large (6 bones) rib platter with collard greens and Mac and cheese. Each platter comes with cornbread as well. The collard greens were some of the best I've ever had! The Mac and cheese was par, but did the job. Now the ribs... ? They melted in my mouth as they slid off of the bone. The cornbread was PERFECT, they didn't crumble everywhere and a a slight amount of sweetness. Mom said the pulled pork and slaw were yummy. Definitely worth stopping in for a bite to eat.“
