I had to wonder why we don't visit here more often. have you ever tried their loaded baked potatoes? Made the decision to do lunch there and check their specials (happy hour, half price appetizers). Order here! I had to stop arguments about how much each individual could take for leftovers. “Ok I dont know how it made a rating on a tv show. But maybe things were different. I had the kloiphia soup I enjoyed the different flavor and texture. Then I had the cabbage rolls ok not one I would come back for. My wife had the Clara special. Scrambled eggs and hashbowns. The eggs were flavorless and rubbery while the hashbrowns were barely cooked. Our other diner had an omelet with hashbrowns and hers actually had some browned crispy bits. The bacon did have a good smoke flavor but could have used a few more minutes of cooking. I walked by the shake mixing machine and it looked pretty filthy. Glad we didnt order any. Our waitress was attentive.“

“Went here for a philly. Did not expect to find the most authentic philly this side of the Mississippi. As someone who has been to Philadelphia and eaten a philly, these guys know ball. By default it comes with cheez whiz for the cheese just like it does out in the streets of Philadelphia. Service is great, the seating is good, and the Phillys are great. Can't tell you about any of the other sandwiches, haven't tried them, but the phillys hit.“

“Met with friends on a Wednesday evening. We of course had lots to talk about. Our server was wonderful and she allowed us to visit with no rush. Food was excellent. We admired to historical items in the area we sat. Haven't been there in ages and not sure why. Will be going back again soon!“

Shortly after that the manager Stopped at our table to see how we were doing. She was very professional and pleasant. We ordered and received our drinks and food in a very timely manner. “I went in mid-afternoon just for a cool place to have a snack and a drink so I didn't eat any steak. But they had the perfect salad which was exactly what I wanted and service was amazing. From the hostess at the front to everyone I interacted with and that's so unusual these days! Heads up specifically to my server Reyce. As a single solo senior traveler I really really appreciate it when I have an experience like I did there. You may think it was all little things but in my case that's what matters. And the minute you looked great good selection of steaks and other things when you're hungry for that“
