My husband's Birthday is right around the corner and he wants to pick one out for himself so we will be back.

“I highly recommend Kala’s Kakes! They are delicious and beautiful!! She is also patient and responsive - my kid changed his mind on the style he wanted 3 times and Kala was accommodating each time!! I definitely ordered my youngest’s cake from her as well and she was mindful when I told her there could be no sprinkles, fondant, or almond extract because my son despises almond and sprinkles and fondant are a sensory issue for him. She was very kind and didn’t find my asks daunting like other bakers have!“

I've been a fan of the Hungarian mushroom soup for a long time, and just tried the beef burgundy this week. wow, was it delicious! perfect cozy dish on a snowy day!“

“I don't know much about what they offer. When I walked in there was nothing (bread-wise) on display. I just asked if they had any flatbread. They did in the back. I ended up buying two bags of the most delicious bread I've ever had. They were much larger and thinner than I anticipated, but incredibly chewy and flavorful. I was going to have one with labneh but just ended up eating it plain. Wonderful!“

I just got a few for a tasting plate: strawberry bar, slice of Boston cream cake, cinnamon roll, and raspberry pastry. Also got pints of strawberry and chocolate brownie ice cream. It tastes like they use fresh fruit in their pastries and it gives it a wonderful punch of tartness against the sweet. MMMMMMMM. The cinnamon roll was sweet and light - best bread I've had as a vegan, I think. But the Boston cream pie? O M G. It was all I could do to get even a bit of it home to let others taste. It was truly delectable. The ice cream was so-so: the chocolate brownie was definitely better than the bland strawberry which could use the same touch of fruit as the pastries. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, open, and helpful. If I lived in this city, I'd be visiting this place often. Delicious.“
