She did even better than the pictures I sent and I could not have asked for anything more. Highly recommend.“

“I highly recommend Kala’s Kakes! They are delicious and beautiful!! She is also patient and responsive - my kid changed his mind on the style he wanted 3 times and Kala was accommodating each time!! I definitely ordered my youngest’s cake from her as well and she was mindful when I told her there could be no sprinkles, fondant, or almond extract because my son despises almond and sprinkles and fondant are a sensory issue for him. She was very kind and didn’t find my asks daunting like other bakers have!“

“I don't know much about what they offer. When I walked in there was nothing (bread-wise) on display. I just asked if they had any flatbread. They did in the back. I ended up buying two bags of the most delicious bread I've ever had. They were much larger and thinner than I anticipated, but incredibly chewy and flavorful. I was going to have one with labneh but just ended up eating it plain. Wonderful!“

“I picked up the Apple Crisp Cheesecake Sandwhich on my lunch break and it was delicious. The oatmeal raisin cookies were soft but didnt fall apart. The spiced vanilla cheesecake had such a good flavor, not too overpowering and the apple pie filling in the middle added just the right amount of fruit. I will definitely be picking up a few more flavors to try.“

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Misky Bakery!! I called Monday morning looking for someone who would make a cake for my daughters birthday AND deliver it! It’s my daughters first year at college! I spoke to a wonderful woman who suggested the tres leches cake and when I told her my daughter loves strawberry shortcake she said she would add strawberry whipped cream to the middle!! She made it that morning and dropped it off to my daughter at UNL early in the afternoon! Because I couldn’t be there with her, I wanted something special! It was! My daughter said all cakes are ruined now because this one was so amazing! I told her that she will have to bring one back to us when she comes home to Iowa!! “I love Stories Coffee- Their seasonal drinks are my favorite, so I always have to try out the new menu when it comes out. Holiday drinks are the best! The breakfast sandwiches are also delicious. Despite being in a bank lobby, the vibe is cute and there is plenty of room to sit and study if you're a student or need to have a small work meeting.“
