“My wife and I were in town for the "Beyond Van Gogh" exhibit at the Mid-America Center. Afterward, we looked up restaurants near us and chose La Sierra because several reviews mentioned authentic cuisine. We were not misled. The menu is small and straight forward. Pick your fillings and choose it in either a gordita, burrito, quesadilla or on a plate. We both got selections as gorditas. My wife ordered: Asado De Puerco, Picadillo Verde and Picadillo Rojo. I ordered: Papas Con Carne, Papas Con Chorizo and Deshabrada. I also wound up getting a burrito with Machaca. All the meats were seasoned nicely and delicious. Both the verde and rojo salsas they brought out enhanced the food. The rojo does have a kick (same sauce as in the Desshbrada) but the heat didn't linger so eating it was enjoyable. The margarita I ordered was delicious, made with real lime juice. Some people might complain because it is regular sized, served in a glass roughly the size of a martini glass. It isn't a gigantic gimmick you find in a lot of American-Mexican restaurants. It hit the spot! The fruit empanadas were lovely, the crust similar to a sugar cookie with strawberry or apricot. We tried both and thought the apricot won by a hair. Its sweet flavor was slightly stronger than the strawberry. The service was excellent, both our server and the gentleman from the kitchen (maybe owner) who brought out food to the table were extremely friendly and a pleasure to speak with. We've marked La Sierra in our "must do again" list and when we care back in Omaha, we will be stopping in.“

Personally, I found the strong espresso flavor of my oat milk latte was very satisfying. The smell of roasting coffee compelled me to acquire various bags of house roasted beans. “We love Dragon Wok! We first tried it 6 years ago and it’s been our favorite spot ever since. Even our 2 and 5 year old look forward to eating here—it’s always a hit with the whole family. The sesame chicken is hands-down one of our favorites—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the sauce is amazing. We always order the steamed pot stickers, crab Rangoon, and chicken egg rolls too. My husband recently discovered the jalapeño chicken and now he can’t stop ordering it—so flavorful and always cooked perfectly. We also love the broccoli beef, pepper beef, peanut butter chicken, lo mein… honestly, everything we’ve tried has been delicious. They also offer different spice levels which is awesome if you like a little kick. And the little things matter too—like the small crunchy ice in the drinks (so good!) and the hot tea they serve when you dine in. It’s very kid friendly as well. They give the kids a little toy dragon after their meal and they have little quarter candy and toy vending machines in the front. My girls have been collecting the little dragons they get for years now. We used to order delivery all the time, but even after moving out of their delivery zone, we still make the drive—it’s totally worth it. Definitely one of our favorite local spots!“

“Cute place with plenty of seating. We were able to make a reservation online and get right in with two adults and a high chair. The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious.
