“Stopped in for lunch on Saturday while spending a long weekend in New Hampshire. Great spot relatively close to where we're staying. They had just opened for the day so seating was immediate. Our server was quick to greet us and brought water. He was very knowledgeable about the beer and the menu. Hubby had the barley wine and I had a chocolate cherry stout. We ordered the meat and tater appetizer and the soup de jour -- both were very good. We heard the wait staff talking about being open on Easter Sunday so we confirmed they would be open 12-9pm and decided that we will go back for dinner to try their entrees.“
“Located at the summit of Bretton Woods, the grille is inside the summit lodge. Incredible views of Mount Washington, the valley and the Mount Washington hotel. Requires a gondola ticket ($28) and ride to the summit to be seated. Full bar, cafe; small plates, salads, bowls, and sandwiches. Desserts available.“
“Surprisingly good Italian food for the area! Always pleased with my meals here, and I have a high standard for Italian food. Also the bar downstairs is one of the few in the area, so definitely check that out if you're looking for a watering hole.“
“I have been coming here for years with my fiance and it is our go to spot for breakfast and lunch! I cannot recommend them enough, the chili is outstanding and having it on their delicious chili cheese dogs is even better! Always consistent and spot on! It's an adorable family-owned restaurant and you can tell that someone who works there that is from the south because they know their cheesy grits!!!! And let me tell you they are out of this world!“
“First time here. Our waitress Sky was excellent, very pleasant and attentive. Food was fantastic. Started with garlic Parmesan wings and Caesar salad, I had the turkey, cranberry melt (panini) and my husband had the steak and cheese sub. High praise on both!! Very happy and will definitely be back!“
“Absolutely fantastic! Atmosphere very chill vibe. All the employees were friendly with a smile . Service was great. Food was sooooo good! I texted several friends while there to give it a try. I've driven by so many times, but never stopped in...I can't wait to go back.“
“Love this place! My coworkers and I had a large group of 10 and they accommodated us same day. We had varying dishes and everyone was happy with their meals. We had the most delicious food and fantastic service by Alex. The staff all stayed late as we wrapped up our evening. I really appreciate this. We felt welcomed and I will always visit when I'm back in the area.“
“Took my wife here for her birthday, although we’ve been in town for 6 years we’ve never tried this place, that was a mistake. We chose the five course chef’s choice with wine pairings. The server asked about food allergies and diet issues and from there our meal was in their hands. The first few dishes were brought out and described by the server in great detail and soon the chef/owner also came out and talked to us and then he started delivering and describing the courses. Each course was amazing and all sourced with local ingredients! I eaten at a lot of different places but Timber Alley really provided a very special and unique dining experience! Will definitely return!“
“I’ve come here to give a 20 out of 10 to the dinning experience at the Inn. Well thought out dishes and excellence in execution. What a rollercoaster of flavor! An expedition for my taste buds they won’t soon forget. Until our next visit naturally. My fiancé and I came for dinner, and it was almost as if the menu had been designed with all our favorites in mind. Is the chef clairvoyant? I thought so initially, but then I heard the other guests awestruck reactions to their immaculately prepared dishes. The staff were super attentive and would drop anything for the guests. Solid wine selection and an assortment of craft beer, also spirits available, if you’re looking to kick it up a notch . I can’t recommend this place enough! Casually elevated dining. Jokes on the menu. Actual metropolitan food in an old family room! Come on!“
“So glad to see this open. Homemade cinnamon rolls and sticky buns. My husband had the homemade hash and cheesy hash browns. He loved the hash and the portion was good. I hade the Cajun steak Benny. The steak was tender cut easily thru them with a butter knife. Their coffee is fresh ground and smooth. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you will have a great waitstaff. Did their best to make us feel at home They remodeled the inside and it is really nice. I love the open space.“
“Our stay at the Inn was beyond our expectations. Our daughter’s wedding was everything we hoped it would be for them. Can’t wait to come back and stay and relax in this spectacular old inn. Thank you for making our families dreams come true. - The Lajeunesse’“
“The service was lacking. But the food was quite tasty. I got a wing ding dinner/plate with onion rings. The chicken wings were good and the onion rings were thinly sliced, with just the right amount of crunch. I will definitely be going back, to try other menu items. And I would recommend them to others.“
“We had the BEST chicken pot pie last night for take-out. We always love the food and staff at Cold Mountain cafe, it’s our special little date night spot. But we wanted to share that if you prefer to eat at home, the take-out option is just as good. Thank you for the comfort food last night!“
