“This cafe is really a bistro. Everything about it just keeps getting better. The chef is French and he knows how to prepare a meal that is not only excellent, but pleasingly presented. Today they started serving brunch. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, fingerling potatoes and salad was amazing. Great coffee from local Roof Top Roasters is the anchor. The staff is local and makes any guest feel welcome. I cannot recommend The Foothills highly enough.”

“Charming old inn that serves delicious food. We made a reservation dor 4 people and we were glad we did because for a Tuesday night it was quite busy. We ordered the baked haddock with cranberry stuffing, which was delicious and the seafood casserole was yummy too! We don’t live in the area, but next time we are around we will definitely be back.”

“We went to Gusto on Wednesday for lunch and loved our chicken pesto sandwich so much we went back for dinner on Thursday night! Dinner was outstanding, service was excellent and cocktails great! We had the meatball appetizer and the Pasta Norcina, finished with a tiramisu - all outstanding! Would highly recommend - a great find in Center Harbor! Will definitely be back.”

“The bartender Lily is always great she's very personable and friendly and always remembers our drink order. I tried the wagyu meatloaf last night with macaroni and cheese and spinach and it was honestly the best meal I have had in a long time. I also like the little added touches like packing up leftovers for the customer, which most places don't do any longer. My husband and I always look forward to our nights out at the Canoe!”

“The hot maple latte and pastries that I had were very delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic in the staff were absolutely friendly. My only drawback to this was the chorizo egg and cheese on a biscuit that I had gotten. The biscuit was dry, the cheese was dried out and crispy and overall the price point compared to the quality did not match up. I understand that these are kept in a warmer pre-made which is fantastic for a fast on the go option, but I showed up fairly early at 7: 30am on Friday. otherwise I found the establishment fantastic.”

“I’ve recommended them since 2004; their Parmesan Bagels were always SO delicious! I didn’t mind the (almost) 4 hour one way trip because they were THAT good and they freeze well. I hadn’t been there since prior to the pandemic but made a bagel run yesterday and didn’t check the bags upon pick up as I’ve never had a quality control issue. I called this morning to say they look/smell totally different and to ask if the recipe has changed. The guy I spoke with (I think the baker) said yes, recipe changed because they took garlic out. I mentioned they also took off the green bits on top. His response was that they have parsley on the Asiago bagels which are a newer flavor — but that Parm never had any green bits, ever. Of course I know that’s simply not true. He literally argued with me about it. LOL! It’s one thing to change the recipe, but don’t argue with a customer of over 15 years when I have pictures to prove my point. The Parmesan bagel — for years — looked like the one on the left… and what I got yesterday is on the right. They don’t look or smell as appetizing but they were fresh - at least one thing that hasn’t changed. 🤷‍♀️ Out of 5 stars, I’ll give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for ALL the years they were great, minus one for the customer service today. Don’t tell a customer of 15+ years they don’t know what they’re talking about.”

“My wife wanted Mexican food for her birthday so I took her to El Mariachi. When we walked in we were immediately impressed with the beautiful decor and the traditional Mexican music playing. I ordered the Lenguado a la Poblano which was absolutely delicious. The sole and shrimp with white sauce were fresh and tasty and my wife loved her Chicken Quesadillas. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and my Coronas were ice cold. We both look forward to returning 😌”

“We went here last night with four boys under 10 and under. We came in and the atmosphere was great for the moment we walked in. The lady who took our order was extremely helpful as I have allergies to oils and she made sure everything was marked. While we waited for our dinner, the pizza man came over and put a movie on for our boys. My husband made the comment while waiting for our food “this place seems like a fun place to work, it seems like a good environment.” Dinner came out quick and at the end, the pizza man came over with a prize bag asking if it was okay if our boys got a prize. He checked in to see how dinner was. The pizza was probably the best restaurant pizza I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this place for the atmosphere, food and service!!”

“1st I was told not to go here. Bad ownership bad service etc. I had a gift card, my parents live up here, father's day weekend ok let's use the gift card. Soooooo we went. Amazing service. Mark the bartender was above and beyond. Very personable, funny, interactive. The drinks were great, the food was outstanding. The tab expensive, but hello if you Google the place your going you're prepared. I'm impressed. I'd much rather have the expensive tab and the amazing food, drinks and great bartender than a cheap meh experience. I loved it. We'll be back!”
