The Granny Smith apple slices provide a tart and bright crunch to contrast the savory and flavorful (not spicy) curry chicken salad. The focaccia bread was the icing on the cake. “Very happy with service and food nice to have homemade. We have gone in to eat and had takeout either way food is awesome. Not a lot of tables so hit or miss if dining in. The best part is they are reasonable on prices! Definitely worth the trip.“

“Surprising, even for me that I have never reviewed Freedom Cafe because I've been going here for years. Until Covid hit we were regulars at the Wednesday night open mic, an area hotspot for students and singer songwriters to show us what they can do. The freedom Café is a nonprofit whose proceeds go towards stopping human trafficking. A serious social issue that is on the rise in the United States, it comes in many forms ranging from forced labor to sex trafficking. There is an extensive menu for a Cafe of this nature , including many different types of coffees, pastries, and crapes. The crêpes options range from sweet to savory. I've tried both and can recommend them without reservation. If you want some good coffee, good food, good atmosphere, and lots of other amenities, choose The Freedom Cafe and put your money where your mouth is. It's a good cause, there's nothing to lose and everything to gain by dropping a few bucks here.“

“Ramon and his family are THE sweetest people on campus and deserve all of our appreciation and attention! They always make their food and drinks perfectly and with love and serve it to you with the most lovely smile that makes anyone’s day better. Their prices can be a lot but as a very small business, they should be rewarded for all they do for us UNH students and staff :) HIGHLY recommend you try! “What a delightful place next door to the Exeter Amtrak station. This small cafe is a mom-and-pop style shop with delicious staples like corn beef hash, omelettes, and eggs Benedict. Frequented by locals and visitors alike, this cafe is a gem, still seeped in the charm of diners of yore.Service is warm and inviting: as soon as you walk in, you are made to feel right at home. “Just had lunch again today, the food and service are excellent as usual. I am new to town but Laura, our host knew my name after a couple visits. Not crowded but busy and promptly served. This where local people come for pastry, breakfast, a quick lunch and coffee in a comfortable but not fancy setting. The clientele is drawn from the business community or from adjacent Philips Exeter Academy. Today, an artist was hanging some of her creations. . Exeter is a trendy town with a great variety or restaurants, some catering to people who want to dine on the village's array of diverse but pricey culinary options. St. Anthony's is where you go for g great affordable meal or takeout a very informal, low-key, part bakery, part eatery. Closes at 2 and by then most of the fresh baked goods are gobbled up, but drop in the next day for something or the previous day's scarce day old bread, muffins and cookies at a discount. Anthony was busy in the kitchen today but he usually comes out to chat with customers, many of whom seem to be regulars. He is definitely a people person and, a warning, a Yankee fan in Red Sox world. His eatery is strictly a breakfast and lunch place. Closed on Sunday and Monday and Good Friday. We usually have the soup of the day. and are devoted to the Thanksgiving sandwich, a retro specially for those of us who crave ia post-feast favorite, year-round: a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich. Also like the "moots" and tomato' sandwich. Prices are the best we have encountered in this picture-book village.“

“This place is awesome. The prices are high but I don't mind paying the extra money for such an amazing selection of stuff you can't get anywhere else. Staff is helpful, very knowledgeable and usually kind. Tried the Cafe for first time today and wow such good sandwiches and reasonable too! I try to go here as often as I can.“

“Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free & dairy free options. While they last because it's first come first serve basis. They get a limited supply throughout the week. On the weekends they get donuts delivered from Lovebirds! That is also very much first come first serve. Lovebirds are a dedicated vegan donut shop. They also make vegan gluten free donuts ? which I love and go for. The Phillips Exeter Academy students get the donuts and goodies very early so if you want the most selection I would suggest getting there for opening or like a hour after. (They open @ 8am)“
