“This is the most sigma McDonald’s in the area. I ate too much so had to blow the brown bugle. The toilets are clean (before I used them). Also the Ice cream machine was working which is rare. One a McDonald’s didn’t have a potty so I pooped my pants.“
“I cannot say enough about how happy I was that Popovers was closed on Tuesday. My wife and I were originally intending on going there, and needed to find an alternative. We stumbled upon Elephantine. Wow! We walked into this charming little cafe and were transported to Paris. The products looked delicious, and we soon found out that they didn’t only look delicious. The young lady, who was serving us, was exceptionally friendly and added to our pleasure. We ordered a yogurt, with, as I can recall, a pistachio, brittle granola, sliced fruit, honey and so on. We also wanted to just try some of their bread in toast form so I asked if we could order something that wasn’t on the menu. We just ordered some sourdough bread and wanted to have it with butter and jelly. The server promptly made it happen. The food was delivered and all of it was prepared at a very high level. Everything was not only prepared well in terms of ingredients and quality of the food, but it was also cooked/displayed nicely. The medley of food, atmosphere, and music made for the nicest breakfast I have had in a long time. We would recommend this shining star to anyone! The Elephantine is top notch!“
“This place was jumping!! Line wrapped fully around the counter and out the door! And their food explains why! From their pastries to their pizza everything was so tasty! We also got this sausage with jalapeño and cheddar cheese wrapped in a melt in your mouth croissant! It was so delicious! I ate all my food before thinking of taking a picture because it was that tasty! oh ya, and don’t forget to try one of their house made crullers!“
“Amazing gem on New Castle Island - great food and service. Everything is made fresh and well worth the wait when it’s busy. Lots of GF and vegetarian options. Dine in and try their famous Dutch Baby Pancake!Vegetarian options: Many of the menu items can be made vegetarian - just ask!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Vegan optionsParking: A few free spots out front that are usually full but plenty of free street parking in downtown New Castle.“
“The absolute best service and donuts you’ll ever experience. The staff is so kind and thoughtful. They always go out of their way to ensure you’re happy. The donuts are unbelievable, you’d never know they’re vegan. Worth driving far for too. Usually takes an hour and a half drive for me and they never disappoint. Thank you Lovebirds!!Dietary restrictions: Vegan“
“Fantastic coffee, nice people, and the vibes were just good. This may have something to do with the fact that they were roasting cardamom when I was in there, so the smell was AMAZING, but even after that faded away, I enjoyed being in a warm, friendly place and sipping on my delicious pourover coffee. Short walk from the train station and lots of other shops and restaurants.“
“Coffee was pretty good, but it wasn't really "traditional" Turkish coffee. They just poured boiling water over finely ground coffee in the cup they served it in. To charge $3.5 (plus tax + tip) for that is silly. Those who know how to really make a Turkish coffee where cold water and grounds are brought to a boil on a hot surface, know that it takes time and careful attention to make sure it doesn't bubble over, it's not over-extracted, etc. I wouldn't care so much if they didn't have a sign that literally says they make it the traditional way (should have taken a photo to post here). It comes in a nice cup and with a sweet marshmallow-like treat, which is a nice touch. The interior is cool and they have some traditional snacks that are really good. I'd maybe try a drip coffee or something else if I go here again, but I'd skip the "traditional Turkish coffee" unless they start making it properly.“
“The cutest little coffee shop with the sweetest employees. I always have questions when I order coffee, and the gal working was so patient with me. My iced coffee was DELICIOUS. We tried the pistachio bread and the lemon poppyseed muffin, both were delectable. The shop is so cute and inviting I just wanted to sit and relax and avoid real life LOL. It’s a little out of my way, but well worth the visit.“
“If you stop by for a drink at this establishment you absolutely will not regret it! The owners are so friendly, the service is wonderful, and their location is right on my commute to work. Tried the swiss almond mocha iced coffee and needless to say I'll be back for more“
“We tailed some locals that said they knew the best coffee in town, they were most certainly correct.I ordered a hot cider and bacon breakfast bagel. If you follow suit you will not regret it.Gorgeous presentation, delicious food, superb service and pleasant ambience.Come here.“
“This is hands down my favorite cafe in Portsmouth! Very vegan friendly. Such a bright, cozy and eclectic vibe inside with kind and helpful staff. This place has phenomenal coffee and tea drinks with multiple plant based milks. They typically have a few vegan pastries/ treats on display near the cashier and they have three clearly labeled vegan wraps on their food menu. Grateful for a space that caters to everyone’s dietary needs/ preferences!“
“I keep going back for the Aurora blue herbal tea, my absolute favorite! Worth buying the tea ball so you can effortlessly scoop and seep your tea at the bottom of the cup. Great selection of local teas and spices, a welcomed addition to Portsmouth! I just wish there was a spot to sit and have a cup of their tea and spiced goods nearby!“
“As a Christmas treat, decided to splurge, and go out for a cup of hot chocolate.I admit my expectations were low as I have never been really impressed by the standard taste. When my order arrived, at first sight, I knew this was going to be a unique experience. The whipped cream was ‘ real ‘ , delicious and piled high. With my first sip I realized I have never had a cup of actual hot chocolate before this moment ! It was creamy, thick, hot, and without a doubt, the most intense explosion of devine chocolate it has ever been my pleasure to enjoy! It did take a little preparation time, but the whole experience is one not to be rushed.Hesitant to mention that it is a bit on the pricey side, but it was worth every penny, just to know that the finest cup of quality hot chocolate does exsist !“
“Great place with nice atmosphere. My experiences with the staff have all been pleasant and the food I found hasn't been bad. Especially enjoy visiting and feeding the goat brothers carrots. Just watch your fingers... Goats may not have upper teeth but they can still nip! ?“
“Stroll is the best! The selection of food and beverage options is diverse and is a guaranteed treat each time. I've also booked Stroll to cater an event and the process was easy and the charcuterie boards were a hit! Certainly will be a longtime customer here.“
“This place is a hidden gem. I almost didn't review it because I'm worried more people will find out about it and they'll end up selling out of things I love. Let me give you three things that will blow your mind here: The Black Friday sandwich. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry mayo, cheese on toasted sourdough bread. It's up there in the Top 5 sandwiches I've ever had in my 60 years. #2: Their brownies. I'm picky about brownies. These are some of the best brownies I've ever had. #3: The buttercup squash veggie soup. Unbelievable. Incredible taste. Again... this place is a hidden gem.“
“Amazing service and food! Todd was incredibly kind and didn’t hesitate to check in and make sure everything was to our liking! My friend had coffee from elsewhere with her and he offered to give her a freshen up while we ate, really made us feel welcome!“
“The service here is absolutely amazing. The people are so kind and considerate, they ensure to list all potential allergens in their menu, and have plenty of amazing flavors! The owner knows her customers and honestly I can't get enough of this place.“
“If you're looking for a cookie cutter, bland, no salt breakfast, this is NOT FOR YOU. The food is amazing, Kasha very clearly cares for her customers, and her son walking around trying to help will bring a smile to anyone who appreciates a family business. It's the family atmosphere my family of four was looking for as now locals.“
“Excellent bakery and lunch menu. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, too. Can’t say enough about the friendly staff! This is definitely a local favorite. There’s a line most times, but it goes quickly.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options“
“Small, but scrumptious little find! My favorite sandwich is hands down the BLTA on house-made focaccia. The vegan seasonal cashew cheesecake is absolutely delicious. Note: they sell it by the slice or whole (perfect for family gatherings!). Executive Pastry Chef, Kristin is remarkable at her craft! Parking is limited, as is customer area inside. There are a few tables outside, if you wish to enjoy your drinks/food there, weather-permitting. They use fresh, quality ingredients, so expect prices on the higher end. I highly recommend checking out Ginger Fox for yourself!“
“Tuna sandwich is really good. Bagels are good. Made fresh. Cookies are good. Service is good. When it's busy you will wait. It's not because of the service, they are working hard. It's just a really busy place. Atmosphere is fine. I never stay there to eat. Just order and pick up and go.“
“Don't drive by. This is worth the stop. We had lunch - North Country Canadian Bacon, Turkey, Cabot Cheddar, Maple Mustard, Lemon Aioli & Lettuce on Borealis Bread, Wrap or Udi's GF Bread sandwich and my husband had a salad with fresh greens and fresh turkey and a balsamic dressing. All made in house. They even roast their own coffee and make their own tea blends. Their bakery items - scones and cookies looked amazing. We'll be back!“
“No guns allowed. Demon pencil drawings on the wall . Tattoos and nose rings. A snack called nut sack. All the best of american culture. And caffeine with vegetarian options, makes it even more artistic and superior in its virtues. Super awesome.Vegetarian options: "vegan" is morally superior of course.“
“Ramon and his family are THE sweetest people on campus and deserve all of our appreciation and attention! They always make their food and drinks perfectly and with love and serve it to you with the most lovely smile that makes anyone’s day better. Their prices can be a lot but as a very small business, they should be rewarded for all they do for us UNH students and staff :) HIGHLY recommend you try! My go-to’s at Ramon’s are a sesame bagel with cream cheese and an iced caramel creme coffee with almond milk and sugar :P“
“Kudos to the chef for creating such yummy dishes! My favorites are Key Lime Smoothie Bowl (seasonal), Cashew Caesar (sub GF bread) and Falafel Mediterranean. They are very respectful of food allergies, which I appreciate. I love the fresh, tasty ingredients...just be prepared to pay a bit more. Exeter location is usually quite busy and seating is limited. In warmer months, outdoor space helps alleviate seating issue. Head over to beautiful, new, spacious Portsmouth location for more elbow room.“
“Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free & dairy free options. While they last because it's first come first serve basis. They get a limited supply throughout the week. On the weekends they get donuts delivered from Lovebirds! That is also very much first come first serve. Lovebirds are a dedicated vegan donut shop. They also make vegan gluten free donuts ? which I love and go for. The Phillips Exeter Academy students get the donuts and goodies very early so if you want the most selection I would suggest getting there for opening or like a hour after. (They open @ 8am)“
“First time customer, 100% ordering again. I was ordering a breakfast omelette, which was good, and on a whim saw that the maple squares are famous and so I just order one to see and by god. Amazing. I thought it would be like a maple sugar type of sticky thing idk but it’s this fluffy , airy , perfect donut like square with the best maple frosting. 10/10 recommend. This random find is going to be a regular for me“
“As one would imagine, anywhere that has the bravery to name their restaurant "Fezzigwig's" better step up and deliver on such a name. No other name brings you to the feel and delight of a feast as one had by the characters in A Christmas Carole.Let me tell you, we walked away and all we could say was... Amazing! This place is just a perfect lil gem near downtown Portsmouth, NH. We walked in and we were immediately greeted and seated. They took our order promptly and then we had time to absorb the juju. Sparking lights decorate the entire space from the ceiling with walls of shelves of delightful little treats and knick-knacks one could buy... from tea to tea cups! The food was out of this world! I had the Classic Breakfast and my partner had the Mayflower Sandwich - both were absolutely delicious! I have nothing but praise for the chef.Cost - on point. Food - above par! Ambiance - delightful! Will we be back? YUP! Actually headed back to Portsmouth next week and have both brought up our excitement to eat at Fezziwig's again! See you soon!Vegetarian options: Plenty of items that would fit a vegetarian diet!Dietary restrictions: They are quite accommodating for all food restrictions. Plenty of options.Parking: Plentiful and nearby. We got a spot within a block.“
“I signed my wife and I up for a tea mixing class at Société last week. I'm not a tea drinker, but my wife absolutely loves tea. Since it was her 30th birthday, I wanted to do something special and different, which is exactly what this class was! Typically scheduled for an hour and a half, our teacher (and owner of the shop) was very thorough and engaging, which extended the program to about 2 hours. We tried 5 or so different teas of a variety of styles ranging from a cleanse, Chai, holiday special, and a black tea for some caffeine. Like I mentioned at the start, I don't drink tea...since that class, I've had 3 cups, and shared our learnings with family and friends (who also have fallen in love with the Chai we brought home). In addition to the tastings, everyone that attends the class is given a free jar of any tea they would like. When I told my wife a few days ago that I let my dad try the teas we brought home, she was (jokingly) angry that it meant she would have 1 less cup worth of tea now. Even if you don't sign up for the class, Société is a must visit for any tea drinker!!“
“First time here! It was amazing! Met some really fun people and connected with some furry kitties! The staff is amazing, they take food allergies seriously and made me a fresh hot chocolate to ensure I was safe. Which was delicious by the way!!! The cats are so well loved!! They also had crafts made by local artists which were just beautiful! 100% would go again! This is also the puurrrfect place for some R&R. Excellent spot!!!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating with food allergies.“
“The crew here is always so kind, they always brighten my day. I started coming here right after they opened! I pull up and they know my name, great me with a smile, and make sure I get what I need! Favorite aromas crew around. Thank you all for being so amazing.“
“It's an overpriced coffee shop. I will never choose Starbucks instead, though. They (DD) have some OK items, but I don't and will never drink coffee. Be careful with donuts at ALL DD locations. They are often stale and hard. DD should have a set time that they need to be replaced by. Quality isn't what it used to be and should be. That said, a new item that I tried was OK.Staff at this particular location was definitely real. They turn their antics on and off like a light switch. When no customers are around, they were speaking in a very off-color way so-to-speak. When someone came in, they/that went immediately silent on that front. Good and convenient location, though.“
“Beautiful location! Perfect for a college town, not too busy or crowded. Quick service as well. I got an Asiago bagel and it was very good, chewy, warm, and cheesy. Personally it had a bit too much cream cheese for me, and it was a bit overbearing, but overall it was good!“
“Had an iced latte and veggie breakfast wrap. Confused about how they make lattes because same batch was poured to make the girls cold brew coffee in front of me. Different line items on board but I didn't bother asking because they were very busy. Tasted very good regardless. The veggie wrap was delicious as well. Will return.**Prices on website do not match in store**“
“Stopped in for a quick something for breakfast. I ordered a Swiss with ham on crossiant( I didn't realize an egg was on it), potato hash bite, and a latte. The gentleman who took our order was wonderful! He made us smile and was very helpful. I would return just bc of him, Made mine and my husband's morning.“
“Easily the best aroma joes I have ever been to!!!!!! I used to frequently go here on my breaks at school and I have never had such great costumer service anywhere! Specifically Amanda and Katie are incredibly kind and welcoming everyday no matter how busy and under staffed they are. I have watched these girls make drinks in a minute or less they are amazing. They are always considerate of everyone’s time, and apologizing if there was a wait (which is out of their control). Their costumer service alone is the reason why i choose this locations over others. Keep up the great work <3“
“I LOVED the coffee here. ? The person in line in front of us said it was the best coffee they had in a long time and I thought "we'll see about that" and it WAS.There are so many options to customize with syrups, including sugar free Syrups and Flavored bases. I tried the mudslide Iced coffee with cream - with no sugar or syrup and it still felt like a sweet treat. The staff was very friendly and kind they told us to taste and make sure we liked it before we walked away which impressed me.The atmosphere is very cute. I was excited to find this little gem. Looking forward to going back.Dietary restrictions: Sugar free options.“
