“I cannot say enough about how happy I was that Popovers was closed on Tuesday. My wife and I were originally intending on going there, and needed to find an alternative. We stumbled upon Elephantine. Wow! We walked into this charming little cafe and were transported to Paris. The products looked delicious, and we soon found out that they didn’t only look delicious. The young lady, who was serving us, was exceptionally friendly and added to our pleasure. We ordered a yogurt, with, as I can recall, a pistachio, brittle granola, sliced fruit, honey and so on. We also wanted to just try some of their bread in toast form so I asked if we could order something that wasn’t on the menu. We just ordered some sourdough bread and wanted to have it with butter and jelly. The server promptly made it happen. The food was delivered and all of it was prepared at a very high level. Everything was not only prepared well in terms of ingredients and quality of the food, but it was also cooked/displayed nicely. The medley of food, atmosphere, and music made for the nicest breakfast I have had in a long time. We would recommend this shining star to anyone! The Elephantine is top notch!“

“The most excellent cruller doughnuts I've ever had, hands down. And a 10/10 Berliner, too. Would happily go again just for the pastries. The coffee, on the other hand, was not great. We had a cappuccino in a scaling hot glass; the milk was completely burned.Note: we came on a very busy day. People were all very nice!“

“How 5 years have gone by without a review is crazy! There's nothing around like this donut shop. The staff are always extremely friendly, coffee & donuts are always perfection and a talking point for us for everyone visiting the area. “If I could give a place 6 stars, this would be it. I don’t think you’ll find better coffee in NH, period. There’s a good reason they’ve been in business for 30 years and counting. For a real treat, try the mocha frappe or the Turkish candy bar latte. I promise you won’t be disappointed!“

“The cutest little coffee shop with the sweetest employees. I always have questions when I order coffee, and the gal working was so patient with me. My iced coffee was DELICIOUS. We tried the pistachio bread and the lemon poppyseed muffin, both were delectable. The shop is so cute and inviting I just wanted to sit and relax and avoid real life LOL. It’s a little out of my way, but well worth the visit.“

“Best coffee roaster in the area! Much less in New Hampshire/New England! Always amazing customer service. Iced coffees, cold, brew, and hot coffees are all delicious. Highly recommend grabbing a bag of beans or ground to take home and brew for yourself.“

“What a fun little diner! Really cool and casual vibe, and the FOOD! Everything was exceptional, my husband had the Irish eggs Benedict and said it might be the best eggs Benedict he's ever had! My breakfast sandwich was busting with fresh flavors and cheesy goodness. The ladies there was really friendly and welcoming. Couldn't be happier that we found this little gem!“

“Cozy spot with a big selection of herbal tea and coffee. Their lunch menu was very extensive as well. Many people were working off their laptops while drinking a coffee or tea or enjoying a sandwich. This place is very kid friendly because many moms brought their kids inside for a bite to eat. The food was delicious and you can also purchase their homemade herbal tea by the can. Highly recommended White Heron if you’re in the Portsmouth area! 10/10Kid-friendliness: Yes“

“We love this gem of a coffee shop! The staff is amazing. Would’ve missed out on the eclipse had it not been for the kind people that leant me their spectacles to view from. Can’t say enough kind words about them. Lattes are always perfection with an added artistic touch on the foam. They remember my drink and accommodate the boys with puppy chinos happily. I should mention I get my coffee beans here, an added bonus for a true coffee lover. Chunk agrees they’re pawsome!“

“I keep going back for the Aurora blue herbal tea, my absolute favorite! Worth buying the tea ball so you can effortlessly scoop and seep your tea at the bottom of the cup. Great selection of local teas and spices, a welcomed addition to Portsmouth! I just wish there was a spot to sit and have a cup of their tea and spiced goods nearby!“

I am suggesting you take this ride, get there before 3, and get ready to be impressed! Great food... I actually can't wait to go back.“

“I love travelling and finding my go to place for the few days I’m in town. The Goods is an amazing bistro/cafe/local goods one stop shop! I wish I was in Portsmouth for weeks bc I was Devastated I could not try the whole menu. What did I eat? The Havana and the Calli wrap and a Pumpkin bagel. What made this place my go to… THE GLUTEN AND DAIRY FREE OPTIONS! The staff were so knowledgeable and were able to make whatever I fancied with GF wraps or bagels (that actually hold the fillings and are mighty tasty) and once home, it reheated fantastically. Reasonably priced, centralized location, and warm and inviting staff. Will make a trip back XDietary restrictions: Gluten and dairy free accommodations that taste really really good!“

“Don't drive by. This is worth the stop. We had lunch - North Country Canadian Bacon, Turkey, Cabot Cheddar, Maple Mustard, Lemon Aioli & Lettuce on Borealis Bread, Wrap or Udi's GF Bread sandwich and my husband had a salad with fresh greens and fresh turkey and a balsamic dressing. All made in house. They even roast their own coffee and make their own tea blends. Their bakery items - scones and cookies looked amazing. We'll be back!“

“Went on Sunday. Was a bit nervous because of the varied reviews however, we are so glad we tried it. The iced tea was fresh and strong, my pancakes were big and fluffy loaded with blueberries. The staff was attentive but they do seem a little frazzled. The restaurant is clean and spacious and again the food was great.“

“In area on business and needed a good cuppa joe and a sinker and decided to try Aroma Joe's for the first time. Had their house blend, which was great--not watered-down like Dunkin Donuts coffee. Sadly, all they had were chocolate glazed donuts onhand--not for me. Anyhow, friendly staff, drive-thru waitline not too bad and will get their coffee on roadtrips again!“
“I LOVED the coffee here. ? The person in line in front of us said it was the best coffee they had in a long time and I thought "we'll see about that" and it WAS.There are so many options to customize with syrups, including sugar free Syrups and Flavored bases. I tried the mudslide Iced coffee with cream - with no sugar or syrup and it still felt like a sweet treat. The staff was very friendly and kind they told us to taste and make sure we liked it before we walked away which impressed me.The atmosphere is very cute. I was excited to find this little gem. Looking forward to going back.Dietary restrictions: Sugar free options.“

“Highly recommend the Earl Grey milkshake (if you enjoy earl grey), the zesty fruit crepe was delicious, and the tea special was delightful. I came for a snack, but it would make a great breakfast/brunch or lunch spot too. I noticed there was a piano— worth asking about live music.“
“I signed my wife and I up for a tea mixing class at Société last week. I'm not a tea drinker, but my wife absolutely loves tea. Since it was her 30th birthday, I wanted to do something special and different, which is exactly what this class was! Typically scheduled for an hour and a half, our teacher (and owner of the shop) was very thorough and engaging, which extended the program to about 2 hours. We tried 5 or so different teas of a variety of styles ranging from a cleanse, Chai, holiday special, and a black tea for some caffeine. Like I mentioned at the start, I don't drink tea...since that class, I've had 3 cups, and shared our learnings with family and friends (who also have fallen in love with the Chai we brought home). In addition to the tastings, everyone that attends the class is given a free jar of any tea they would like. When I told my wife a few days ago that I let my dad try the teas we brought home, she was (jokingly) angry that it meant she would have 1 less cup worth of tea now. Even if you don't sign up for the class, Société is a must visit for any tea drinker!!“

“Nothing but good things to say about this place! The drinks and food are absolutely phenomenal. Pain killer and the shrimp bowl - chefs kiss. On top of the food being great, atmosphere is cool & service is exactly what you want to see in a restaurant. We went for the first time and bottom line, there was a delay in our service. Once she realized, she made up for it with a good attitude, made us a specialty shot on the house and gave us recommendations around the seacoast. Really great way to approach customers and leave them with a good impression. It’s great to have more local, good eats here in Rye.“

“Went to get a piece of my favorite dessert to celebrate my birthday ( total chocolate experience) a day late, but so what.Discovered they had popovers w/ maple butter and a delicious maple nut crunch coffee, so I bought one of each. They turned on the fireplace for me and it was the perfect way to start my day. I was thete at 7:30 a.m.I definitely enjoyed my " birthday cake" for dessert later that day.Great place to go when your sweet tooth is calling your name!“
“Had an iced latte and veggie breakfast wrap. Confused about how they make lattes because same batch was poured to make the girls cold brew coffee in front of me. Different line items on board but I didn't bother asking because they were very busy. Tasted very good regardless. The veggie wrap was delicious as well. Will return.**Prices on website do not match in store**“

“This was my third time at cup of joe and I’ll definitely be returning! The staff is friendly helpful and professional. They make a great latte along with a delicious chocolate hazelnut croissant. Brought the boys in last week during the quieter part of the day to allow Chunk (our reactive ½ of the duo) the opportunity to sniff out the scene. Really pleased with how well he did and the very kind female barista that made it possible. I’ll include there’s a nice viewing window that Blue put to good use!“
