“Always a pleasure to visit. I adore the vibe, comfortable welcoming atmosphere, and the delicious coffee and food. The only place around to get authentic Turkish gifts, groceries and household goods as well. I've been a regular semi/regular for many years and will continue to be! Lots of love, “
“We tailed some locals that said they knew the best coffee in town, they were most certainly correct.I ordered a hot cider and bacon breakfast bagel. If you follow suit you will not regret it.Gorgeous presentation, delicious food, superb service and pleasant ambience.Come here.“
“Absolutely fantastic! A nice warm twist on an apple cider and chai tea! A delicious sandwich. Wonderful service with cute seating outside an adorable gift shop. Highly recommend stopping to grab a treat and beverage before browsing for unique gifts!“
“I keep going back for the Aurora blue herbal tea, my absolute favorite! Worth buying the tea ball so you can effortlessly scoop and seep your tea at the bottom of the cup. Great selection of local teas and spices, a welcomed addition to Portsmouth! I just wish there was a spot to sit and have a cup of their tea and spiced goods nearby!“
“I’ve driven by Bread & Roses Bakery probably a Thousand times, each time saying to myself “I NEED to check this place out!”. Well to my delightful surprise, my son; Brycen, unknowingly brought me home an Iced Coffee & the Amazing ‘Pumpkin Whoopie Pie’ pictured below. The cake is moist, soft & lightly sweetened unlike others that feel like you’re biting into a 1lb bag of Sugar! The nutty Pumpkin flavor of what typically is made of Cinnamon & Nutmeg is also light and tastes Fresh! Non “Pumpkin Lovers” would also enjoy this ‘Pie’ as the flavor is not overwhelming and doesn’t take away from the deliciousness of the cake! The filling is sweet & creamy with a perfect texture. It is also slightly flavored with the Pumpkin spices but again, it is only a light flavor. This particular “Whoopie Pie” was purchased from the Ogunquit Beanery who apparently get the pies from Bread & Roses which I Just found out while writing this review. Regardless of where it was purchased the product is Amazing and I Highly recommend checking this place out!“
“Elephantine is my favorite bakery hands down! They tend to be busy on the weekend, but this never compromises their quality. I love their vanilla scones, egg samit, and cinnamon rolls. So much to the menu I still need to try!! Hope you love it as well.“
“Came here to get some stuff from the cooler but also grabbed a few donuts. It was slow not many customers. The donuts are really good, all the flavor combinations we got and the style of donuts were all really good. Only downside was that there was little to no floor cleaning. Tables were dirty and lots of crumbs under the table. Don't typically sit down at places, usually grab and go so wouldn't be enough of a deturance to not come again. ?“
“Absolutely incredible coffee sourced from the most quality growers. The coffee is roasted right here and it tastes divine. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and the vibe is incredibly chill. By the star of the show is definitely the quality coffee. Enjoy a cup or ten.“
“Stopped in to have some breakfast this morning. I had the oatmeal that cooked perfectly and full of fresh apples, dried fruits, and nuts. Delicious! My wife had the breakfast sandwich with sausage, fresh tomato slices, and a hint of pesto on a freshly baked biscuit. She loved it! Top that off with two cups of great coffee, and you've got a perfect breakfast. Everyone was really nice and friendly, and the space was tidy and clean. P.S. We also bought a loaf of their sourdough bread. I can safely say it's the best tasting, lightest and airy sourdough I've ever had!“
“I am somewhat biased as my son works here. This coffee shop / pastry / bakery nestled on the Kittery for side may be one of the the most atmospheric places in the area. Loved by the locals and all that visit from distant lands. It is a destination worth checking out.“
“Went to Société today and purchased some tea for my digestive tract. Absolutely the best tea, I have ever tasted. And I just went there on 11/11/23 and bought some snooze and I had the most peaceful sleep. One of the best herbal places, I have found.“
“My wife purchased ice cream cones here several times during our stay in Ogunquit. She had the milky way flavor each time because she loved it so much on her first visit. I have a gluten allergy, so I could not try this flavor, but their mint chip was pretty good when I finally had ice cream, too. They have a large binder with allergy information, which provides some piece of mind. The service staff was younger kids on summer jobs and they were friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to other visitors.“
“Cute little store with an amazing and large selection of tea and loose leaf teas! Great little things to get as gifts too for friends and family. I would highly recommend stopping in here if you are in the center of town. Clean and friendly environment“
“Don't drive by. This is worth the stop. We had lunch - North Country Canadian Bacon, Turkey, Cabot Cheddar, Maple Mustard, Lemon Aioli & Lettuce on Borealis Bread, Wrap or Udi's GF Bread sandwich and my husband had a salad with fresh greens and fresh turkey and a balsamic dressing. All made in house. They even roast their own coffee and make their own tea blends. Their bakery items - scones and cookies looked amazing. We'll be back!“
“We hosted a private event here. They were quick to respond both in our initial search and after our original venue closed unexpectedly for renovations and were able to accommodate us. They have a great selection of coffee, tea, wine, and even can do low ABV cocktails.“
“My wife and I absolutely love this place. We used to go to their storefront in Ogunquit starting many years ago, and while we're sad to see their limited operating hours at the Wells location (compared to before) and the lack of display cases like they used to have, the quality is still top notch and the workers are fantastic. Amazingly delicious breads and pastries, including a phenomenal blueberry crumb loaf and dinner-plate-size choc chip cookies. The outdoor atmosphere and seating is more relaxing in this location and there's plenty of parking, which was definitely a challenge in the old spot. Ogunquit's loss is Wells' gain. Open 7-1, be sure to check this place out - you'll be glad you did.“
“Stopped in with our three year old daughter. We wanted a casual atmosphere where we could get food to go. To our surprise there was a small dining space so we were able to dine in. Excellent coffee and tea selection. Ordered 3 Sammies, a donut, juice, coffee and tea and spent $26. Pricing was fair, will visit again.Kid-friendliness: Loved that we found a place that offered breakfast that could be eaten in the car or on site. Enjoyed not having to sit at a traditional restaurant and have a server etc.“
“This place is a hidden gem. I almost didn't review it because I'm worried more people will find out about it and they'll end up selling out of things I love. Let me give you three things that will blow your mind here: The Black Friday sandwich. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry mayo, cheese on toasted sourdough bread. It's up there in the Top 5 sandwiches I've ever had in my 60 years. #2: Their brownies. I'm picky about brownies. These are some of the best brownies I've ever had. #3: The buttercup squash veggie soup. Unbelievable. Incredible taste. Again... this place is a hidden gem.“
“This is the third time we've stayed at The Cliff House Resort and it never disappoints! They offer one of the most fabulous, peaceful and tranquil views along the northeastern coast. The facility it beautiful and everything you need is available on property. The staff is friendly, professional and most amenable at remedying any and all challenges that may occur. We'll be back for sure!“
