“This is our go-to coffee shop in Dover. We love coming to work for a while or read. They definitely have quality coffee, but I’ve noticed their drinks are not consistent. “I signed my wife and I up for a tea mixing class at Société last week. I'm not a tea drinker, but my wife absolutely loves tea. Since it was her 30th birthday, I wanted to do something special and different, which is exactly what this class was! Typically scheduled for an hour and a half, our teacher (and owner of the shop) was very thorough and engaging, which extended the program to about 2 hours. We tried 5 or so different teas of a variety of styles ranging from a cleanse, Chai, holiday special, and a black tea for some caffeine. Like I mentioned at the start, I don't drink tea...since that class, I've had 3 cups, and shared our learnings with family and friends (who also have fallen in love with the Chai we brought home). In addition to the tastings, everyone that attends the class is given a free jar of any tea they would like. When I told my wife a few days ago that I let my dad try the teas we brought home, she was (jokingly) angry that it meant she would have 1 less cup worth of tea now. Even if you don't sign up for the class, Société is a must visit for any tea drinker!!“

When he passed away, my father took over the business. The coffee was in my blood and I did what I could to help him. I had prepared to make the place when I was of legal age, but my father had other plans for me. He took the money he saved to send me to the University in the United States. I couldn't afford to come back to visit, so I spent my free time working to pay for school and studying hard to get my law degree. When I finally got my first job after graduating. I took my first paycheck to return it to him. He was older than I remembered and he had sold the business by then, but he was still him. And he still smelled like our family, like us, like coffee.The aroma of rise & grind given to my heart reminded me of him. The smell brought me back to my childhood home and to the large number of memories that accompanied me. The coffee had a boisterous flavor reminiscent of the powerful beans we used to prepare. I got a black coffee with sugar on the side and the taste alone was phenomenal.That's where the review would end if I didn't get the "Shack Up". ¡Asombroso!. Oh my God, that was an incredible sandwich. The flavor combinations were complementary to each other and work perfectly together.
