“I used to be a regular but moved away years ago. I still have a Jade Garden magnet on my fridge.I’m home visiting for the holiday and stopped in for the first time in years; it was just as delicious as I remembered. My go-to meal: combo plate with General Tso’s chicken (extra spicy), pork fried rice, and crab rangoons.Nothing fancy, but still my favorite Chinese takeout, even after living in Chicago for 15 years.“

“The food is absolutely amazing! Buffet during lunch hour, menus during dinner! It's amazing! The service is wonderful, the new owner walks around and is so sweet and welcoming! Talks about his quality of food so he must be proud, may be to chatty for some, but i think it's sweet!! The ambience is good! Lot's of different seating options, great decor too! “I was just calling to get a question answered which it was I did not dine there this time. I have nine there before once or twice and it was about a four star maybe a three I don't like the place that much. In general it's too expensive for what you get“

The sushi is off the charts amazing!!! Seriously, they're friggin' artists with their sushi plates. You will leave full and most likely with leftovers if you get a full lunch or dinner meal.“

“Amazing. Seems to be under new ownership and everything was so good - from the food to the service. I highly recommend everything we got: crab Rangoon, pork buns, sesame chicken, general tsao's chicken, Singapore Mei Fun noodles, and fried ice cream. We'll be coming back often!“

“Saigon & Tokyo is forever a favorite of mine. I grew up coming here with friends during high school and now I still enjoy it as an adult. We can always count on amazing quality from here. Most recently we placed a large order for a birthday dinner and could not have been more satiated. “Mei Wei....where do I even start? Mei; That name reminded me of my late wife (May). She was a Vietnamese firecracker from Phuoc Hua, a small village outside of Ho Chi Minh City. She was the light of my life and when I lost her, the world went still, I lost that light. I traveled the world searching for it. I scoured high and low for something to take me back to that time and restore me to my old self. I almost lost faith until I stumbled upon Mei Wei. My granddaughter goes to UNH and she took me and her father there for a dinner date and it was eye opening. The food was delicious, it fueled my imagination and my heart. The Pork Lo Mein was so delectable that it almost brought a tear to my eye. Finally, sushi was to die for and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. Mei Wei gave me something that no other place, thing or person ever had since I lost my dear May. Mei Wei brought my light back. It gets my ultimate endorsement and I am eternally grateful for this small restaurant tucked away in Durham.“

“I enjoyed my lunch specials. My fav was the veg lo-mein- a lot of nice, fresh thin cut veggies. Great Pork Egg Foo young!The flavors and cook of the food are on the “ lighter” side (some places have darker color/more “fried” PFR for example) But I found everything fresh, hot and was tasty, not greasy and no MSG which I like!“

“Good food and nice service. The food was pretty slow to arrive to the table, but they had a large party there. The server was great about communicating the reason for the delay. Sushi was really good, and the other dishes and cocktails were average. I would eat here again if I was in the area.“
