“Stopped in here, The Cambria Hotel, the other day to try out their bar/restaurant The Summit Kitchen- New restaurant #54 for me. Boy was I impressed! I ordered their White Mountain Summer Raspberry Chicken Sandwich special and a local draft beer. Beer was great as usual, Tuckermans Rockpile IPA, and the sandwich was FANtastic! Chicken was tender and juicy, topped with bacon, provolone, caramelized onions, lettuce and a house-made raspberry honey mustard. SO full of flavor! Even the fries were super crispy and flavorful. And service was great as well. Unfortunately I didn't catch the woman's name who was bartending, nor the chef who she was chatting with when I walked in. I will definitely be back at some point to try something new. They are currently only open from 5-9pm until they can add more staff. Definitely a hidden gem!“

“First time visiting North Conway. The Passenger sitting next to me on the plane recommended this restaurant and pointed out to me that when a restaurant hangs a yellow flag with a fork on it, is a locally owned establishment, not part of a chain. Given our first time to the northeast, we had to taste the New England clam chowder and a lobster roll for our late lunch. Not only was it among the best clam chowders I’ve ever eaten, but the lobster roll was served at our request on a gluten-free bun . The service was outstanding. The elderflower cocktail was superb.
What a lucky serendipitous recommendation! So happy to have dined here.
EDIT to say we spent 3 more days in New England and had clam chowder three more times. HANDS DOWN this was THE best clam chowder in three states.“

The food was unbelievably delicious, and the service reflected the charm of a bygone era professional, friendly, and warm. An outstanding destination in a beautiful setting makes the journey entirely worthwhile.“

“We love their bang bang shrimp. Sweet potato fries are the best here. We’ve never had a bad meal and the service is always great. Wait time is a little long even when the restaurant is empty, but we roll with the punches. Always yummy!“

“Bouillabaisse was exquisite and the duck was perfect. We canceled our breakfast plans for the next morning so we could go back and try more of their delicious food. I can’t imagine a scenario where we’re in the area and don’t eat here. Looking forward to returning to Mt Washington Valley, if for no better reason than to return to this wonderful restaurant. We spent 4 nights in the area and White Mountain Cider Co was by far the best food we had. This is what food is supposed to taste like.“

“We have stayed here probably four times. Each time with children, this last time with our dog. We have stayed in air BNB’s, motels, and five star all inclusive resorts. For a classic New England experience, while seeing the sights in New Hampshire, I would 💯 recommend this hotel. The positives: Authentic historic charm, literally jumping out of a Currier and Ives print. As you drive up the hill to the entrance, you literally feel like you are going back in time. There is a large front porch with dramatic views of the mountains, and a well kept golf course. The staff is genuine, friendly, down to earth, and accommodating. The food in the restaurant and the drinks are well made, and delicious— I would categorize the offerings as more “comfort” food: think tender lamb falling into mashed potatoes. The negatives: (Not a negative for some, but maybe for others…..) It’s old, (hence historical designation). If you don’t want to stay in an old hotel, this is not for you. We like old, some people don’t. 🤷‍♂️ (Like - they still use real keys, and the windows have wavy glass….the elevator is a museum piece. It was functional when we were there- definitely neat/out of a movie.) If you want modern/spa chain hotel-this is not for you If you want authentic New England charm, gracious hospitality, in a grand building from a bygone era this is for you.“
