Emma - has a unique talent for making you feel like you are the most important person in the room, even as she was juggling all her tables. Raj the owner personally served us and told us about his journey from humble beginnings to now one of the top 20 or so indian cuisines in the country. It doesn't take long to taste why. An unassuming restaurant on the outside to an amazing comfortable and authentic interior space to welcome anyone and everyone ready for the mos amazing dining experiences they will have. “Easily one of the best restaurants in Newmarket, but also the whole Seacoast. Their crab Rangoons are like none other, and they have the best Pho I’ve ever had. I’ve tried to find similar executions of these dishes in different states but nothing beats the way Basil Leaf does it. Their curries are always delicious, and full of fresh veggies. “I’m from the Boston area and was meeting a friend in Portsmouth for dinner. We picked Durbar Square and we’re definitely not disappointed. We had an absolutely fabulous meal there. The chicken chili was a delicious, and a different approach than any chili I’ve had before. The chicken was perfect cooked. The sauce was full of flavor. They also ask you to pick yours spice range from 1-10 so you can choose what suits you best. The owner, John, is totally engaged with his customers and if you want, can even demonstrate a yoga pose or 2 (which he is very good at). Just overall a great place to eat.“

The vegan caesar, avocado tacos, cool beans burger, just to name a few favorites. Not to mentions waffle fries, tater tots, fried pickles, and so many other great sides. Local beers, great cocktails, and lots of fun drinks. My bf (meat eater) and I go here all the time and we always leave happier than when we came in.“
